Really?? what divine right do we have to be beating a thoroughly established PL team who have now had seven seasons in the PL back to back, fresh from their highest ever PL finish (9th), fresh from beating Man City away and who have a settled team and squad that has been playing together for some time now. The point earned today is a good one as far as I'm concerned.

Didn't play well at all, defence shocking but slight positive we would have lost that last time in the prem. Point gained for me.

Very much agree. Going back to our pre-season predictions on here, most had us to finish 15/16/17th. We're only a point or two behind schedule with two of our hardest games out of the way.

It was a poor performance yet again and for the first 70 minutes nobody seem to know what to do. Rio, Isla and few more were frightenly poor today, One point was best we could Hope for today but then again Stoke were very lucky to keep Shawcross on the pitch or not to concede penaltyshot....

Well I'm very happy we got a point from that considering how weak we were for 60/ 70 minutes. NIKO f' kkin brilliant today, great effort, skills, turns, shooting and what a free kick. Traore, Henry, Barton and Phillips occasionally all did well too, Caulker not bad either but I'd like to have seen him throw Shawcross off when the ****e Ref didn't. Good fight at the end too.

Got to be happy with the point but share concerns expressed. We still look a bit like Queens Park Strangers BUT I do think that greater understanding and unity will develop.

A few points to muse over after some reflection:
I thought Niko looked really sharp today (not just because of the free kick).
Isla has a lot too learn about playing in the PL.
Ned must start instead of Rio against Soton.
How can a referee turn a blind eye to how Caulker was constantly fouled in the box at corners? A disgrace.
Barton and Mutch should not have started, it's a long season and we have a 25 (24?) man squad.
Happy with another point of the 40 that we need.

Shawcross may be a good player but he is a dirty player in the sense that he is totally unsportsmanlike. You'd think he was about to be thrown off a tall building the way he held onto our players.
It looked like a wrestling match and how the ref couldn't see it and or refused to acknowledge it, was bad for the game.

The way l saw it, we had no one up and in the middle, feeding our forwards. Stoke always had a cluster of players in the guts .......... we didn't or they were too far back and left a huge void.
Henry was good, Isla not up to expected standard. Thought Traore lost the ball too often but recovered well ........ sometimes.

Viva Las Vargas was quick and looked up for it very early on but was left stranded with little ball for most the match ( refer to no midfield )
Harry looked like he was trying to pass a gull stone without any luck.
Rio .............. well, he looked great until he had to defend and was forced to do something; then it was all over before he could react.
Don't think were getting value from him at present.

    Where was Sandro ?????????????????

Great to see the gang up in BrisVegas, cheer guys.
