Agreed, no fluidity at all and no real link up or partnerships at the moment. Hopefully once they start to gel it will get better.
We've been totally ****e, can't string 4/5 basic passes together, Livermore in particular. Jelavic has been offside more times than Caleb Folan & Hernandez doesn't seem as on it as he was on Monday. They should be one up. Think I change is required at half time, tactically and/or in personnel, just hope Bruce doesn't leave it as often as he usuall does because a goal for either side will be massive (sounds obvious but you know what I mean).
No booing today. But they're not inferior fans remember. They just only do home games and would rather boo than sing.
Compact in the middle but no width going forward, the only option is to try and play through Jelavic and Hernandez with little support. We could make a change and add some width but that would open up the middle of the pitch.
I honestly don't know what you're expectations are, but we're hardly '****e' are we? ****e would be 3-0 down after 10 minutes. The Villa game was atrocious, but we've not been as bad as that for a long time and I don't think we're playing badly today. We certainly played well on Monday and if not for a fluke own goal, we'd have won it. The players are obviously going to take time to gel and we're only in September, so there's not too much to worry about. Hernandez looks great, I think he'll be a revalation for us this season.
I'm shocked that Ince isn't even on the bench. I think he'll go out on loan in January if he doesn't even make the bench.
If Jelavic had seen Hernandez on the right when he shot tamely into the keeper's arms we could have been 1-0 up.
