Their midfield is pretty handy at covering, but I think they're a little more fragile under Martinez. Not sure if the stats back that up, but they look more likely to score and also more likely to concede.
Current Sturm Graz coach Darko Milanic is about to take over at Leeds Utd. The Slovenian clearly wants a short stay in England before a job change. I read the BBC headline as 'Maniac Poised To Take Leeds Job' and thought, "That sounds about right".
It's that time of year again, where the papers have a deranged fantasy that Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Man Utd. Maybe when his contract with Factitious expires in 2018...
It's a bit of an ex-Spurs show between QPR and Stoke. Kranjcar's just hit a wonderful free-kick to make it 2-2. Crouch scored and set up the other goal for the visitors, while the other goal was awarded to Caulker. Interesting last few minutes now.
He's still got a hell of a wallop on him! I was watching earlier and he had a shot from 35 yds or so - missed by inches, with the keeper nowhere.
Some enjoyable carnage going on. 2-0 West Ham and Balotelli with a yellow. I keep saying, when 1 1/2 of their 4 1/2 is missing... Do you get the sense Rodgers wasnât leading the charge to get Balotelli? Itâs strange watching a manager try to shape his strikerâs moral education through the media. Even less pattern to the PL this year than usual. The moment you think someone is down, they have a big game, and vice versa. Except Chelsea.
Hammers v Pool has been worth a watch. Hammers going 2 up in the first 10 minutes but Pool have pulled one back. Hammers have dominted the first half. Second half coming up.
Allardyce has become progressively more defensive as the game's gone on and he slipped up by not dealing with Kouyate's injury earlier, in my opinion. They're just hanging on and trying to waste time, now.
West Ham have done well tonight. Probably a good time to play Liverpool, but Pool have been second best for much of this game. 3-1 does not flatter the home side.
Fairplay to Allardyce, he was put in a humiliating position with the West Ham board having to publicly tell him to improve the style of football in order to keep his job. The board have given him a good chance to improve things though, Sakho and Valencia look good signings but Kouyate's the stand out for me, built for the Premier League.
Carnage at Leicester. From 3-1 down the Foxes have drawn level in 5 minutes from a Nugent penalty and driven shot from Cambiasso on debut.
Mark Clattenberg silently stared into the distance as Man Utd players shouted at him. He realised straight away he couldn't justify that penalty decision. (BBC Football Live commentary) Oh, how times have changed!
This is the first time Leicester have scored five against United since November 1930. (Comment on BBC Football Live) It's good to see that Mr Dodgy Barnet is breaking new records at United.
Man Utd need about 50 years of those decisions before they can moan. Swings and roundabouts and all that.
Nevertheless it won't stop the "ManU friendly" media going on about decisions going against them. But point taken, there's years of dodgy decisions to go against them before they have any right to moan (not that it will stop them). Will ManU get the criticism they deserve, especially after all they've spent? Unlikely.
