I think this will be a massive test for us and will give us a clearer picture of where we should be. Saints have been an example to 'smaller' clubs like ours that when the cherry-pickers come you really can recover if you have the right people in charge, so huge kudos is due to you. Like many I'm predicting a draw. Some here have made the point that we've conceded 5 goals but 4 of those were against Chelsea so that observation belies the fact that defensively we've looked OK apart from that game. We've lost Amat at CB and Fernandez, although an Argentinian international hasn't played with Williams that much. Good luck with the rest of the season after today.
SAINTS: Forster; Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Bertrand; Ward-Prowse, Cork, Schneiderlin; Tadić, Pellè, Long. BENCH: K. Davis, Gardos, Targett, Wanyama, S. Davis, McQueen, Mayuka.
Koeman will have a game plan, and would have used the most suitable (fit) players to play the system. Koeman we trust.
Wanyama hasn't started the last two game, we weren't exactly bad, seeing as we won them both comfortably. I wasn't happy with Davis' performances this season, but he's an important player for us, I'm more worried that he isn't in the team than Wanyama.
I said it would be interesting who came in for Toby...he's gone for experience in Yoshida. Is Gardos not in favour or not up to full fitness yet?
