where did they finish season before that? not saying its all down to the chosen one are you. they have added a £150 mill worth of players to a squad that was setup for a title challenge and to play European football, we had no where ruddy near that when we went from 7th to 2nd, so of course we have had to spend to try and compete for top 4 at least. uir keeps saying part time season, so why based on having all those factors in place should they not be expected to get the title? considering we managed 2nd with no where near that luxury.
Did you actually read my post? As for United, it's unrealistic to demand a title in a season when most of the team has changed together with the manager - irrespective of what they've spent.
Pellegrini did it last year, as a new manager, bringing in new team, with a team one-year-removed from the title. And he had that pesky European football to contend with
