Giorgios saying via his agent that he'd probably come back if asked: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...turn-following-felix-magath-exit-9745087.html He's as old as Methuselah but showed during the World Cup that he's still in good shape. In the current situation I'd be happy to have him back in the squad. Got to be a better option than Fotheringham any day of the week.
I'd have him back over Fotheringham in an instant. Actually I'd have him back full stop - his enthusiasm and experience could only be good for our young squad and he might help Stafylidis settle in faster too (although he seems to be doing okay as it is).
Got agree - Kit must rely on the youngsters but needs to bring in 1-2 old hands - Kara would be good. COYW !!!!!!!
He'd be better than Fotheringham no doubt but still isn't the dominant defensive midfielder that we need. I'd take him back on a pay as you play type contract like Diarra had. As Surly mentioned he has bags of experience and enthusiasm but also loads of passion that we seem to be lacking at the minute so he could be a useful addition.
He's the right type of player but the wrong player I'm afraid. If I was to suggest a player for defensive midfield it would be Wout Brama, formerly of FC Twente. He's still 28, has played 250+ games for Twente and has played for the Dutch national team on 3 occasions. He's still a free agent somehow.
