I'll be extremely disappointed if we don't take advantage of the discontent at St James' and win by a goal or two. You've obviously got some very good players, just a s**t manager. Then again, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

I disagree, the protest has been widely reported it will receive a lot of coverage now. I'm with Colo, the fans need to get behind the team for 90mins. Anything either side of that is fine. I'd be happy for those protesting in the 90mins to be removed to be honest.

I think it'll actually help the players, it'll be electric in that stadium come 3pm Saturday.

Our ground is s**t for atmosphere 99% of the time IMO, nothing like it was under Bobby or Keegan. It'll be like Cardiff all over again, fans wanting to get at Pardew but also showing the players how much they love the club and want the team to do well. We're talking about grown men here, they need to go out and perform regardless of what's going on in the stand.

Removing them would be ridiculous, I've been to games where our crowd have got on a palyers back after 2-3 misplaced passes, if anything that's 10x worse that giving Pardew s**t as I've seen that sort of thing swallow a player up and they just freeze. You'd be better of removing that sort of supporter (which would also be ridiculous as those that pay their money have the right to support/criticise/protest as they see fit).

I don't quite know how to respond. If you honestly think the poisonous atmosphere on Saturday will help the players, I think you're mad as a *****ose <laugh> Hence the captain felt the need to say "we need your support for 90mins". They know what is coming. We've seen it before and it doesn't help. No one wants the ball, possession gets lost regularly as the fear factor kicks in. The only thing that helps the players is raucous support encouraging them. I have seen it many many times at St James. It was a standing dish under Sir Bobby and KK. Under KK, we could go one down and the crowd just willed us back into it. Even the 4-4 under Pardew or the Man C and Chelsea games. Sometimes we are just really up for it. Granted the regularity has dropped alarmingly as we have a seemingly more expectant and critical fanbase these days.

Grown men or not, it doesn't matter. Emotions play a part in the game. A grown man still gets nervous in certain atmospheres, look at penalty kicks or shoot outs where the tension is palpable.

Removing them will never happen, I just said I'd be happy for it too. The same goes for the pissy moaners who jump on backs after 2-3 misplaced passes. Its not what supporting a football team is about for me. I suppose you just have to respect that some folk are miserable ****s and never happy.

Sad to see the in fighting on here, Get behind the 11 on the pitch, those who don't are as bad as the idiots who do it at our ground when the chips are down. Support your team, people are laughing at the region not just the club now.

Do you know what makes me despair most is "we need you for 90 minutes" comments like this. It's so fcking pathetic. The record is so abysmal for the entire of this calendar year that nobody has anywhere to hide anymore. Not the manager, not the players, not the owner. The manager is the one feeling the heat, because he's the one who's picking the players and there's fck all we can do about the fat man at the top.

There's no science involved, and when the crowd has given its' support to the team they've still been utter s**t. So Colo can take his fcking comment and ram it up his San Lorenzo as far as I'm concerned. Same with Pardew talking about "deflecting the boos" - fcking walk out tomorrow morning and there won't BE ANY BOOING you disingenuous, fork-tongued little twerp.

    True <ok>

I'm not sure which side of this debate I fall on. I love a good Boo, but after the match has finished as the crappy players trudge off. I can see why people would want to have a go during the game, because it's not like Pardew is going to waiting around after to take it all in <laugh>... Let's all have a good sing-song at the grass <laugh>

He is just a figurehead for the vitriol, and I agree, the players are bloody lucky he's being made the scapegoat, but fans will have voice whether people are snobbish about it or not. I think some have genuinely reached the threshold of not caring whether we drop points, and whether the atmosphere induces that, because they think Pardew is ultimately holding us back and is in desperate need of sacking...

Tough one, I sympathise with both standpoints. I'm sitting on the fence for this one chaps <ok>

Get behind the team you bunch of splitters, half arsed support is all part of the problem and evil within the club. You're as bad as Ashley :)

I'm there tomorrow. I'll support the team and give vocal encouragement as I have done for 45 years, but I'll boo the **** out of Pardew and Ashley at any available opportunity. <ok>

Poo on you. You're saying that somehow the black & white t-shirt is more important than the attitude and ability of grown men earning MILLIONS of pounds in a difficult world. Like it doesn't matter who's in charge, or who's playing, we should cheer and yell because this eleven individuals play in those colours, in that stadium.

It's like suggesting I work for a company you like, and it doesn't matter how bad I am at the job I do, or how much of your money I take, I'm ok because I work for that company. It's insanity.

Yep, looks about right to me - assuming Colo is up for it after the Jonas news. <ok>

Without fail, it will be the following:

Krul; Janmaat, Saylor, Good, Haidara; Tiote; Sissoko, Colback; Cabella; Ayoze, Cisse

4-1-2-1-2. A classy tactic, with just one DM, Sissoko flirting with the right side and CM, Cabella playing 10 and slightly left, Colback drifting around the middle offering protection to Tiote and two up top for a change, because one clearly isn't working. Colo and Willo both dropped for being worse than gash.
