Thought I would do one again so who, what is the best you have seen live? I've seen so many bands including Floyd in Berlin in 1981, maybe it was going to be the brilliant Humble Pie in 72 but for me this band steals it. I saw them a good few times, the best gig ever was at the City Hall in December 72. I was at the Live Dates back at the City Hall in June 73 and this band were superb to watch for anyone loving guitars, music and style.. Enjoy & share your best..3 points tomorra, Ha'way the ****ing lads..
Seeing my childhood hero Buddy Rich for the final time the year before he died (1986)- he'd had recent heart surgery prior to playing at Ronnie Scotts club in London - he played a blinder - this clip was part of the UK 86 tour and it has one of my fav 'jazz' tunes
Either Roger Waters a couple of years ago for The Wall tour, or The Prodigy in the early 90s.. Michael Jackson was also very good.
Commander Cody and his lost planet airmen, Southampton guildhall 1974 ( better than anything at first two IOW festivals and the Stones!)
Nick cave and the bad seeds. Absolute poet
Guns n Roses Gateshead stadium. My first proper big gig and it was amazing. I never git the chance to see my ultimate band in concert Pink Floyd. However saw Australian Pink Floyd last year and they were far better than they had any right to be! Seeing them again in Feb.
The Verve at V-Festival a few years ago. Seen them a few times and Richard Ashcroft solo a couple of times but that particular set was outstanding. Prodigy at the same festival were also one of my favourites, as were Oasis at Heaton Park, Jay-Z at a small venue called Tryst in Vegas and Jurassic 5 at Parklife.
Ill never understand why I never inherited your passion for music. I grew up listening to some great bands aswell! Football and MMA has took over my life.
Boston way back in the 70s. Blew the roof off the old Rainbow theatre. I agree with the poster about the Aussie Floyd being very good , I was anti tribute band till I saw their show.
Aye, that was a good `un. Fleetwood Mac, Mott the Hoople all at the Locarno. Saw some top bands there. The one that still stands out for me was The Who just after `Tommy`. Absolutely superb.
I'd love to see them live/,, you sir have good taste.. My best, by far, was the original madstock gig at finsbury park// the legends that are madness.
Just one of them things son, your mam wasn't really into the brilliant 70's music aside from David Cassidy who was about as brilliant as I am to tact and subtly..
