Koeman got it wrong did he?

And what do you know about football that he doesn't?

    Oh, its your opinion.

    Well, that's nice.

Both good keepers, but what I'm saying is if the new manager thinks he has a better player in the position he plays him. I like Boruc, has been a great keeper for us with the odd moments of madness and wonder saves. One thing it does show is that some players would be happy to sit on the bench and pick up a pay cheque every month, so fair play for Boruc for dropping down a level to get first team football. Don't think many players would have done the same.

Or..... Saints are still paying all his wages and Bournemouth were the only team to take him off our hands as he made it clear he wouldn't travel with the team just to be a sub goalie.

Yeah. It's huge for them. They don't deserve it, though. I remember back on the old 606 boards when Saints were in League One the Bournemouth fans were surprisingly prickish about it.

Bournemouth are dicks, and boruc is waaaaay too good for them. Seem to recall him turning down the bayern Munich bench to stay and get first team football which no one has mentioned. If that's true he has every right to be livid at being an instant number two at a lesser club, to whom he has been fantastic up to now, as soon as Forster was tied up

Still my favourite keeper ever. Good luck to him

There were vague rumors of Bayern Munich being interested in Boruc. I don't know that they offered and Boruc turned them down because he expected to be the #1 here. I tend to doubt since at that point Koeman was already here and we were being heavily linked to Forster and other GK's who clearly weren't going to come here to be backups.

The problem with Boruc is that fair or not, clubs just don't really like him. That's how we got him in the first place. He couldn't find a team during the summer transfer window despite the fact that he was available for free.

Why? We didn't force him to turn down Bayern Munich. It was his choice.

Boruc is a human being..everyone has the right to be pissed off by things that happen at work. He obviously feels he hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip. He should have knuckled down...which he has done by the look of training shots...the loan to Bournemouth could work out well.

I think he fancied his chances even less. Neuer has to be the best keeper in the world at present and Tom Starke is no slouch so his chances of game time would've been pretty close to zero.

I am really surprised no club went him after Koemans announcement. He's a really good keeper with some amazing athleticism and in my opinion could've easily made first choice for a dozen top clubs out there.

Sorry to see him go, he did a good job for Saints. He was a character when we needed a character.

Who on here posts anything other than their opinion? Apart from the odd factual post, it's all just bollocks. Even some of what you write.

Hooray! It's been far too long since we had an irrational slagging off of the club management!

He was a very good keeper, but we're in no weaker position with Forster as number 1. Would have been nice to have 2 quality keepers but Boruc isn't getting any younger and he wants to play football. Not bad management from Saints at all here. Bournemouth now have a cracking keeper who's miles better than the Championship, so good luck to him.

Shame it didn't work out here, but he was fantastic for us for those two years.
