Good luck Artur and AFCB. Apart from one or two slips you have done a first class job for Saints and were a key player in the team which gave us our best ever PL finish. I for one will always be happy to see your name on the Saints team sheet if and when you return.

That's a good point, credit to him for that. I'm sure he'll get a pernament move in January.

It does seem he got a bit of a strop on but he wants to play football so fair enough. Does this mean that Laura bloke or girl will be happier?

Bournemouth's badge is terrible, and I've always thought so. There.

Agreed, I still like Artur, despite (or maybe because of) some of his antics.
Another reason to take advantage of the season ticket use my chum keeps offering every now and then (he can't always make games due to work). Hate their ground though.

Well if Laurab12 goes there she'll largely be posting to herself. Even the tumble-weed gets lonely.

This was one of the few things we got wrong this summer.

Fraser joined and the attitude should have been that he had to earn the number one slot, not that our number one should immediately accept number two slot. I'm not surprised in any way that AB was upset by that attitude. He could have handled it better but it was pretty poor management by Saints. Nope, it wasn't, it was bloody awful management.

I had a quick look and the cherries really have no-one online do they? Not that its that strange seeing as some of the biggest forums i can find belong to some (comparably) mid table clubs like stoke and sun'land and certain big clubs have a surprisingly small online following.

Boruc doesn't deserve abuse. He is a good GK, just not as good as Forster, and wants to play. If we have a right to recall in an emergency, everyone wins. Good luck to him...hope he gets a lot of games and does well.

Nope, it's football. Koeman saw the opportunity to bring in a GK he likes more, and is younger and can be locked up long term.

What would the point have been of having a position battle? Even if Boruc were deemed the better keeper we would still lean towards playing Forster because he is the future. Boruc was not going to be re-signed.

The only way Boruc gets between the sticks is if Forster falls flat on his face. And if that were a real possibility then we never should have bought him. And even then, we'd still be looking for a GK next year.

It's harsh on Boruc. I've always sided with him when people slated him for "not wanting to compete for a place," because there was no real competition. He's okay in my book, and I hope he does well at Bournemouth and then catches on someplace. But that doesn't mean that Saints did anything wrong. A move is best for both parties, and I don't think Saints were holding out for mad cash or anything. A move just never materialized despite Koeman making it clear that Boruc was available.

It's football. If Hooiveld was playing at CB come the beginning of the season and Alderweireld was having to fight for his place in the team everyone on here would go mental. You buy and play what you see as better, simple as that.

Exactly, its an unfortunate part of being a goalkeeper that barring major injury you will never get a good run of fixtures as a second choice. Boruc was, despite his occasional slip ups, a really good keeper who at times puled off some stunning saves for us. I hope he has great future career where ever he ends up but as it stands he had no active place within the saints line-up without accepting that he was second choice and as such decided to try his fortune elsewhere.

All the best Artur and thank you for some amazing saves and taking the fight to those dastardly black holes that threaten our freedom.

I believe he was available at a price no one would meet for a player in final year of their contract and saints did not want him going to another club in premier league.

Think there was a hope with no move he'd suddenly be happy not playing which no shock wasn't case.

Forster may well be the future but no competition is not healthy. That not complaint last year re boruc. He knew he had none and neither does Forster

Only there is slightly less difference in quality between Forster and Boruc (if there is any at all) than there is between Hooiveld and Toby. :)
