I got the distinct impression he wouldn't touch the Newcastle job with a barge pole after seeing the NE's attitude to football first hand with Sunderland.

He pretty much said more than once that the fans in the NE are nuts.

You do realise by nuts he means they have loads of passion, ergo technically giving them a compliment?

He is from round there yaknow.

 

1. There is no job going at Newcastle
2. Bruce is a lifelong Newcastle fan
3. Bruce is on the record as saying he regrets turning the job down the last time he had chance
4. Ashley is as unstable as Allam
5. If the job comes up with the prospect that Ashley is supposedly looking to sell Newcastle, I do think Bruce would take it

True but Brucey has a good relationship with Allam and is given free rein to manage things his way. To be fair, there are VERY few chairmen who allow managers that much freedom. Bruce knows this as well as anyone.

Yes I haven't watched it, for one good reason.

The clubs official twitter account posts the main quotes from it, so I don't see the point in watching it thereafter.

Personally, I have never seen Steve Bruce looking so relaxed. Here is a man who is apparently having the time of his life, doing the job that he clearly loves and managing a team that he is creating himself in the footballing image that he envisions. Home town team on the horizon or not, why would he want to overturn two years of hard work?

 

Why does everything on here escalate to name calling in about 4 posts on here lately. It's getting quite shit to be fair.
