I'm sure the Scots pondered it over the last two years. The thing that would have worried me was the lack of clear answers from Salmond...he just kept saying as different issues were raised that it wouldn't happen. He didn't come up with any clear answers when told that he'd have to find a currency, that oil revenues had been overestimated, and when informed that major banks and businesses would move south. What is clear is that for most people they are happy to have the stability of being part of the UK and yet still being Scottish.

Thats was so they could straightfacedly say "Don't blame me i voted the other way" in pub chatter no matter who won.

If I add a tomato it becomes completely healthy. Having it for tea as I have already eaten my delicious bowl of cereal :(

Thats what i mean, i'm sure the scots thought about it but no-one from the Yes camp could ever really come up with clear answers. If you're looking to convince people to take the riskier path surely you would want to encourage them by laying out a solid vision rather than a 'We'll see what happens after' kind of approach

For "completely" healthy, you'd need to add a leaf of lettuce for decoration.

Hah. Kinda like when they held election in East Germany. Not only were all the 'candidates' hand picked by the government..the ruling party always ended up with like +90% of the vote anyway..its like cheating in a fixed fight.

Sounds nice. I went to a lovely pub in Yarmouth once. I had customer who took me on his boat. We moored up in Yarmouth and went to a lovely pub for lunch.

Was it The Bugle? Old pub covered with hanging baskets. That's where I go, but there is also The George and a couple of others.

P.s. You haven't played your joker on the prediction thread.

Apparently Andy can't vote as he doesn't live in Scotland :) He only signalled his support for an independent Scotland...he apparently assured the Davis Cup team that he would represent GB in March. He has been subjected to vile internet trolling....as were famous people who supported the no campaign...both wrong. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Sky have been discussing this morning the effect that an independent Scotland would have had on sport. Apparently 5 racecourses in Scotland were afraid of going out of business as they rely on UK money. Also most elite athletes would probably have opted for GB as that is where the funding is...and, of course, it is entirely possible that many actually feel British. Only good point is that Celtic would have finally have had to wave goodbye to the faint hope of joining the EPL. :)

Couldnt tell you how often i've trapped these ****ers to release em outside. There was one (a seven legged bastard) in an old house that i caught and released 4 times. Worst was one that actually charged and leapt at me from the wall to have a go...ruined a perfectly good pair of pants that.

That and the Yes campaign left too many unanswered questions. Like what currency they would have being one of the biggest.

Greg Dyke speaking after Wembley awarded the Euro 2010 final and semi-finals, speaks like a complete baffoon. Our national association is in his hands :(
