He's lost his form. I think we need to ship a couple out on loan for a few months.

Not hindsight, said it at the time - I wouldnt have given him the lucrative contract. How many good games has he had in the last 18 months? I can only think of Newcastle and Lokeren away.

    Nope

Since Ramirez and Ben Arfa aren't our players, we should prioritize improving our own as if and when they go back to their parent clubs then we'll need him. Same applies to Ince.

Aluko has not looked the same since his injury last season and it is hard to judge whether or not he is good enough for the PL. I think his season will primarily be as a cup game player for us.

Rumour has it that we are trying to do a straight swap for his sister who scored a hat-trick the other day.

I like aluko! But he has been off form lately, don't think he's out of his depth, just not got a regular start yet and it hard to judge!

He needs a run in the team which he probably isn't going to get, he is up to the standard if fit and staying fit but not if he only plays once a month. We have better players now but he has some proven quality which is easy to see looking at videos of him over the years when fit

He's every bit a Premier League player, we've seen what he can do and he's had some fantastic games in the Premier League already. He does need a good run of games and if he impresses in the Cup game, then he'll be back in the first team again.

I think there's a very big difference in quality, I never thought Cameron Stewart was that great to begin with, he was just quick and liked a step over. Aluko has a much better all round game and he's very versatile. Stewart also couldn't finish to save his life, whereas Aluko has a very predatory instinct.

In his first season with us in the Championship, he was one of our main contributors and you could tell then that he was far too good to be playing at that level. When we got going last season, he adapted very quickly and in the game against Newcastle he was unplayable (not to mention the goal he scored, which was very special).

Hull striker Sone Aluko is determined to force his way back into the team after being overlooked this season, BBC Sport reports.

The 25-year-old Nigerian has not started any of the club’s four Premier League matches, having been pushed out by the Tigers’ new signings.

“Competition for places is very good. It’s healthy so I’m not against us signing players,” he told BBC Sport.

“I’m not going to run away from that challenge. I’m happy to stay in Hull and fight for my place.”

Hull boss Steve Bruce brought in four new additions on transfer deadline day: Mohamed Diame, Gaston Ramirez, Hatem Ben Arfa and Abel Hernandez.

And Uruguayan striker Hernandez made an instant impact by scoring on his debut in the 2-2 draw with West Ham.

Aluko sees the arrival of top players as positive for the club, while also insisting his belief in himself has not been shaken.

Aluko has scored nine goals in 42 appearances for Hull since joining from Rangers in July 2012

“I’ve always wanted the best players to play in your team,” he said. “It improves the standard and improves the quality. It means you’ll most likely win more games.

“I’ll always be confident that whoever we sign I’ll be able to get in the team and if not, then you don’t.”

The former Birmingham City and Glasgow Rangers forward also hopes he can build on his late substitute for Nigeria last week in a 0-0 draw against South Africa in Cape Town.

It was his first appearance for the Super Eagles after more than two years in the international wilderness, and he is itching to play more regularly.

“Realistically we have an unbelievably strong squad that won the 2013 Nations Cup and went to the World Cup in Brazil.,” he said.

“I feel honoured to be recalled by the coach and I’m confident in my ability so, when I get the chance, I will have to take it.”

However, Aluko’s immediate focus is on breaking into the Hull starting line-up.

He added, “The Premier League is televised back home and I need to be playing regularly for Hull.

“It’s going to be a hard season but I’m ready to fight for my place – hopefully that will help my case with the national team selectors.”

I think he has much to do, he has much to prove to himself, but I think he should do it with us for the foreseeable future. Way back, on HDM, I sussed Stewart as a step-over-king with no real product, but this guy, Sone Aluko, has talent, but it needs channelling and that is the job of our coaches. Personally, I would like to see him pull his shoulders back and get his head up when on the ball; he needs to command his space more and see what space others have, then he can really use his skill to open up defences.

Lets hope he does it but as it is you can see players waiting for him to do his spin round. Then gets the ball took off him. Plays with his head down as you say and doesnt see a pass.
