Because Wenger claims that Ozil is a better number 10 - yet plays him on the wing <doh> <laugh>

Bollocks it is. He's not getting better and he's not where he needs to be more and more often. I said previously, JT can do a good job for us but needs to be used more thoughtfully. Draxler and Huntleaar are good examples of why, as were the 2 goals scored by Swansea. He is part of the problem, not THE problem, and it does need addressing soon.

Typical slow start for your guys. I expect you will get better as the tournament progresses as will your "favourite" foes Liverpool. Expect both Chelsea and Liverpool to go far!!!! As for your friends from North London ......Europa League if they are lucky!!!! Don't expect City to make much progress either. It's up to you and Liverpool to keep the flag flying!!!

    <ok>

    Thanks,
Got to say I had doubts about Southampton coping with the mass exodus you had over the summer, but you boys have had a decent start and bought well to replace the guys who left.
Good luck for you guys too, except when you play us ofc :p

You are the surprise package and class all around. Thought poch was behind your team's revelation.
But looks like Spuds are stuck with another dud.

    Criticizing JT is sacrilege here!!
JT contributed directly to atleast 2 goals which could have been easily avoided. Need to sparingly use him for everyone's best interest.
Need to integrate Ivan & Zouma more in CD.

Agree about Iva and Z, but two bad games does not make JT much worse than last season, when he was our best CB.

Let's judge players at Xmas, not kneejerk redtop tabloid reaction (not directed at you, Stan), after a couple of bad games.

Everyone was hating on Ramires last season, now after one good half he is the best thing since sliced bread!

Leave the hype and overreaction to Sky and plastics

Don't disagree with that and sure Jose doesn't either. But to say, "JT is looking more and more like he want's to be somewhere else," is absolute Talksport tabloid bollocks.

JT will be more exposed if we continue to play attacking football. if we do. He has never had pace, and relies on positioning and is best suited to us parking the bus.

He will always struggle against certain types of player too, such as Aguero!!!

Sunday worries me, if we play JT and Cahill against Aguero we might regret it.

Agree with you about our style contributing to the 2 goals (Naismith & OG) as much as JT did! At the same time JT of 2 years ago would have saved atleast 1 of them.

None of us is asking JT to be dropped but to be used like Costa - more cautiously.

Last year Rambo had Bison & Mikel (Matic half season) as his Competition.
This season after few kicks up his backside (dropped by Brazil, Cesc & Oscar playing his position) - Rambo is playing well and sure he would thrive.

OK, we agree on the speed issue at least, and I was not saying he's ready for the knackers yard. But apart from the goals, for which Cahill also played a part, there are more times they are getting exposed in games. At the very sharp end of the PL, even a tiny loss of speed can make the difference. As you rightly say JT has never been Usain Bolt, but has incredible positioning instincts. He still does, but it takes him a fraction longer now to get there and that's starting to give us problems. Just as Frank was always a contributor , so is JT, I acknowledge that. I just believe we need to start thinking about using him as we did Frank the last couple of years, and start now looking for a replacement for when the time comes. I also admire you for your loyalty to JT the player.

At the risk of being slated here, I thought the inclusion of Drogba was the worst decision ever. He should only be used in an emergency. He doesn'suit our style of play as his ball control is awful and he is miles off the pace these days. He is and always has been a battering ram of a player. We don't play that way these days and moves broke down when he got the ball. I agreed with Costa being rested but Remy should have played. Get the game won and give Drogba a run at the end. No room for sentiment if we are to win trophies.

no you won't be. Most of us here will agree. Remy should have started & Drog would have finished with a cameo.
perhaps Jose thought too much about Drog- UCL last game - so debut in UCL, poor defense of Schalke etc.
