Any appeal will be laughed at if based on these grounds. This is only going to make Allam look more foolish and arrogant than he is already appearing.
Leicester City and Nigel Pearson did not expect to have to pay off his contract, nor did Bullard think he would be sacked without compensation. I don't claim to be an expert but history suggests Mr Allam's legal team have previously won in areas not previously seriously challenged.
What if people wanted 'No to Hull Tigers with the Allam family to remain in charge?' I think a lot of people probably fell into this category but they weren't offered the opportunity to express this view. In short, the ballot results are about as much as use as a barber's shop on the steps of the guillotine.
Leicester City had to pay compensation for Nigel Pearson's team of assistants. Towards the bottom of this page are my thoughts on Jimmy Bullard http://www.hullcityindependent.net/...selpage=30&&limit=30&obf=post_number&obad=ASC
. . . the lack of quality to this initial appeal is not surprising, when you consider the nature of the beast involved. It is my guess that he is using this seemingly worthless appeal as nothing more than a skirmishing tactic while his main argument is prepared. He will be looking for a small victory of point in this, not an immediate reversal, as he is sufficiently intelligent, as are his paid legal advisors, and he/they can easily drill down to the same conclusions as Obadiah. So why would he choose to do this? I believe this skirmishing tactic is to prod and provoke to establish strengths and weaknesses - don't make the mistake of believing there aren't any, as sometimes, they can be contrived by this tactic - the general public and perhaps, the booers. Skirmishing is a delaying and, sometimes, an exploratory way of fighting, it will keep the enemy occupied and will test their collective will for a main engagement. Beware, CTWD, you are being engaged and tested; it won't be the direct result of this initial appeal, but the public response to it that will be used in the main battle, and there will be a main battle.
Allam because of his wealth is surrounded by syncophants and yes men who will do his bidding because they are getting well paid, or in Ehab case, stand to inherit millions. I bet it's the first time anyone ( like us CTWD supporters ) has turned round to him and said no to him, and he has never heard that word before, he has took it as a personal affront, which it is, and will do anything to get his way, even if he bites off his own nose. Very wealthy men always seem to be like Allam, they get their own way and use cash to do it, Allam has come up against us who cannot be bought, if we dropped down the leagues as a result of him leaving, so what, we've been there before, it's not the end of the world is it? It's just a game. The boo-ers are the ones who are terrified that he leaves because they are star struck by the premier league, he is like a little kid with his outbursts, I believe it's time for him to go because he has created division amongst the fans just to get his own way
No, I just don't underestimate him or his legal team (they have a decent track record), or the power of public pressure and the uncertain nature of the FA; they have bigger fish to fry than this.
This all goes to show that Allam's press junket last week was simply an elaborate "come buy my football club please" advert. Also, I wonder if he truly believes all this unnecessary conflict spurs the team on, given last season's success.
