Guiseley are where it's at these days in terms of the Leeds non-League scene. Think Farsley Celtic disbanded and became AFC Farsley or some **** like that.
The Hull Daily Mail is known as being a bag of ****e by various different groups, not just City fans, but I think a lot of that is because we make the mistake of thinking it's a news paper. It's a long time since news was its raison d'être, its income is from advertising, publishing bollocks that annoys gets them spoken about and gets their hit count up so they can charge more for this increased coverage. Talk sport used a similar philosophy for slightly diferent reasons.
Why do you have to try and drag TWS into evry thread? It's boring, nobody's interested in them. Liven up your act Daffy.
You do it almost every thread daffy. Seriously, it's boring and buggering up decent discussion in my opinion.
Just looked on the first three pages and I've posted in five threads. Swear I only mentioned Leeds in two of those, I'll not do it again though if you think it's taking threads off track.
I tend to skip over your posts because, when I do read them they're just tedious attempts to get TWS mentioned. As I said, it's boring, not many people care. If you want to have such chats, you could always start a thread of your won, but jumping in as you do cocks threads up (as it has again here). Just my opinion like, some may disagree.
A friend of my brother did a degree in media studies. His lecturers lauded the HDM as a true independent newspaper. Not sure whethe that's true (I know it isn't now).
I think most of the British press are guilty of that. Much better off watching something like Russia Today. Most of the papers are going behind paywalls and the ones that remain (eg. Daily Mail) try to sensationalise Z-list celebrity tattle.
Those sports Hacks at the Fail are to sports journalism as Pavarotti was to hang-gliding. The make Golum Lloyd on Blunderside sound like Brian Granville.
