16:30 OH NO!! Charlton are about to highjack the Deal & he may end up going there instead! Someone get on the phone to the Vic and tell them to pull their finger out quick! In the news this morning we agreed a fee in the region of 250k plus add ons & the player will discuss terms today at the viv. Looks like we might have found our new left back. What do you guys think? Will he be a Rostron or a Travenar? Personaly I think he will be a success if the deal is finalised.
We;ve just been discussing it on the short news thread, there is a link there to Bournemouth Vital Football page!
Cheers Al! This is great news! He sounded keen to join too! So as long as the medical goes well things should be done pretty quickly... £250000 is a great bit of business if true
Now in the Wobby; http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/9114962.Wiggins_fee_agreed/
Chris - you should check your facts! On the previous thread I described his performance in the 3-3 draw with Charlton in March. I said I hoped a fee could be agreed "in the region of £250k + add ons" and if this post becomes true then I will be satisfied. In the meantime keep up the prompt reports!
Hold your horses guys , lets wait for official announcements first, He has to agree personal terms and if he is a greedy bastard !!!!! I dont think we will break the wages structure!
errm - just in case you're getting mixed up, Chriswfc & myself are 2 different people To distinguish us, I'm the one that wrote the prompt report.
Really bad news - Charlton are looking to highjack the deal! Surely he would come to us rather than a League 1 side?
Must be offered more money...seeing as Wiggins is supposed to be a fan of us and surely would have ambition to play at a higher level.
"News: Skysports.com understands Charlton are set to beat Watford to the signing of Bournemouth defender Rhoys Wiggins."
If he goes to Charlton I would honestly say I wouldn't want someone at the club so clearly focused on money over ambition. Lets hope he sees sense.
Talk here of him not having an agreement on personal terms which in a Sense would be worrying as I doubt he'd want much.. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/9115510.Cherries__Boss_backs_new_man_Gregory_to_succeed/ According to some fans "family reasons" is another excuses...ofcourse Watford is no-where near London ofcourse.
