If you lose and more powers are granted to you I sincerely hope it doesn't give you more power over England as you have now voting on English affairs in Westminster. You have devolution which as you know means England has no say in Scotland but Scotland does have say in England, the West Lothian question. No doubt as Scots you will consider it fair as it stands and this is the main reason why I hope the yes vote wins so that you will have NO say in England.

Yes. I do wonder, whatever the result, how much permanent damage has been done to so many personal & even family relationships in Scotland. The campaign has been so ferocious in a lot of quarters that it's very possible that many long standing relationships, friendships etc, have been irreparably damaged.

I wonder if those who value those relationships more than anything else in life will rue the day this referendum was ever thought of.

Spain, what will the attitude be tomorrow if the yes campaign loses? I see a lot of anger brewing. As you say there could be damage to relationships but not irreparable, over time the wounds would heal. Either way Scotland has made its voice clear and changes will have to be made. I'm just thinking of England and the unfairness of devolution. Only an ignorant gutless socialist party with Scots at the helm at the time could have thought of this crap but what galls me is that nobody in England seems to care about devolution.

The Bible quotes that "In those last days brother will fight brother." I wonder.

During the course of this debate I have learned to deal with bigots, and people who are almost incapable of any form of reason. I have met people who have been scared of change and people who find it a problem to decide between a Mars Bar or a Twix. These people will vote NO. I have met the greedy people with their big houses and expensive cars, these people will vote NO. There are people who will vote NO because they feel they are deserting their brothers in the rUK. I feel sorry for them because they have been let down by their Labour Party and that will continue to happen if it is NO.

I will be voting YES The YES campaign has been amazing as thousands of people have come together to work for a dream of a new democratic Scotland. It's hard right now to believe that we will lose this because for months all we have seen in the streets and squares have been happy YES voters. Thousand upon thousand have been dancing ansd singing all over Scotland. No voters have been noticable only by their absence. Despite this absence I am welll aware of how close this referendum is.

I have enjoyed some of the debate on here with some thoughtful and decent posters, and these are the people that I hope will be interested enough to consider the ramifications of these last couple of years in Scotland and what that means for the UK whatever the result today. The fantastic involvment in politics by the YES people shows that we can and will change the UK for the better and that in the end we will win. The 1000 year old elite has had another few bricks not out of its' walls.

One of the most impressive things about this referendum is the % of those eligible to vote who have registered to vote. And it's likely that 80-90% will vote. An endorsement of the democratic process, often lacking at General or Local Elections.

It is because there is a hope for real democracy unlike the present Westminster system or devolved government that people are fed up with.

I agree that it's somewhat speculative. But to call it drivel as it doesn't concur with your opinions, is nonsense!

Do something about it and sign this petition, I have. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/68744

Only this, and equal rights for the Welsh Assembly, will readdress the balance of power post referendum.

Salmond would never walk away from the debt even if a currency union can't be agreed.
