Todays article about the Adebola signing. Halfway down they just go into completley baseless speculation and mischief making by suggesting this could mean the end of the road for Mclean or Simpson. Why the hell are they seemingly try to unsettle the team. Given there is no foundation in this whatsoever, I would like to think the club would make a complaint if anyone high up enough saw this.

I take their usual negativity as B.A.U, but this now smacks of pure sh*tstirring and trouble causing. I used to moan about fieldmouse, but now I would take his "witty" anecdotes back in a shot. At least he always had some reasoning behind his articles. It is also the sign of a poor newspaper, when the majority of the Hull City news they print, is just relaying a story about is in one of the nationals!
    Pi*s poor.

Anyway, heres the article, see what you guys make of it.

Just so typical of that useless rag. People wonder why its called the FAIL ? Now ya know. Baseless reporting and comments. Get used to it as it wont change until the reporters do.

It was completely unnecessary to include the part about Simpson and Mclean and it's completely inaccurate too.

I'm supposed to be meeting Baxter & Co shortly, to discuss City coverage in the paper ongoing and how it can be improved.

    That should be a laugh.

are you going to be canvassing some constructive opinions from here beforehand OLM? I have a few observations dating back to the whole Frazier Campbell farce two summers ago which you may want to pass on? It was from that point on where they have just seemed to push the boundaries of how much they can get away with. Or at least, when I first became really aware of it that is.

Does that mean that if we sign Paul McKenna it could mean the end of the road for Garcia, Harper, Kilbane, Cairney, Olofinjana, Barmby, Atkinson, Devitt and Koren?

My discussions with them started in the latter part of last season, when I complained about the almost constant negativity on the City related articles, particularly when compared to the positive spin put on many of the rugby stories, many of which were complete non-stories in the first place.

Any arrest at a City game will be plastered all over the paper, but running battles after the local rugby derby are not even mentioned. They claim this is down the news department, rather than the sports department, they also say that they have full access to the rugby clubs, but almost no access at City. I pointed out that if they kept slagging me off, I probably wouldn't invite them round my place very often either!

When I know what's going on, I'll probably bung up an article for some thoughts on things that they could improve, though my aim is just to get the negative slant out the stories and get more input from City fans, my biggest bone of contention being that they have not a single City fan on their sports staff.

My sister works for HDM, she says its one of the worst, most back stabbing awful places to work for ever. They regularly make staff who are on probation work another 3-6 months extra after its completion. They do this so they dont have to pay them full time wages and can sack them once they have had another few months out of them, constantly promising full time employment. My sister said a similar thing when her work mate who is heavily pregnant completed her probation, but as she had 'only' 95% in sales and had been off calls more then the others (on the toilet because shes pregnant) they got rid of her rather then making her full time and paying for maternity. Apparently she was the only ever sales operator to get 100% from a mystery shopper, yet they still sacked her and they had 'lost' her contract. The whole place stinks from top to bottom.

Someone emailed Sportstalk last night to ask why Fewings letters page is nearly always Rugby letters. He said it's because the Rugby lot have a rivalry while City fans have no-one to sound off about so we're not very vocal.

Has the guy ever been on a message board? Why doesn't he try his own paper's website for a start. City fans love the sound of their own voice! If they don't bother writing to his rag then it says more about him than it does about us.

Can't say i'm suprised that the fail have said something as daft as this, but it doesn't make it any less annoying. Makes you wonder what clowns they have writing these things, if i was the club i'd be furious if the local rag had come out and said something that clearly wasn't true.

Does seem a bit nonsensical. I mean, why would we only go with three strikes, one being Adebola, all season?

You'd think two on the pitch, two on the bench would make more sense.

At the meeting with the HDM take a dictionary and open it at the word news. They have obviously forgotten what news is.

about time a rival Hull paper was formed then.. The Hull Standard. Because our city needs standards. Think I'll patent this.

I've never met many people who thought the Mail was crap. Apart from City fans anyway.

When I used to buy and sell new and second-hand computers - from 1988 to 1995 - I advertised in the 'Classifieds' and I found I could rely on the Mail to **** up my ads regularly.......<steam><yikes><steam><yikes><steam>

And I swear this is true: I once saw some poor bastard's 'In Memoriam' notice in 'For Sale - Miscellaneous'<laugh>

Edit: I HATE THE ****ING RAG!!!!!
