Rio is a Class A twat who for some reason is fawned over by large sections of the press and football fans. The worst thing about him is that he so obviously believes his own hype.
Nobody's disputing that! But it just annoys me how Rio is able to present this view of himself as some 'honest geezer done good' and some people just lap it up like he's a saint. In reality he's no better (and indeed probably no worse) a man than any of the other high-profile English players of his generation.
I get to reminisce sometimes when I read Tots and his second team(?) Sutton. Mine used to be Romford because of the Spurs element that played for them.That was a while ago now! I can remember going to watch them one evening and sat in the stand and found they had installed gas fires in that stand.After about 20 minutes they all started to blow up (the fires!) and just stunk up the stand. But I thought it was nice of the club to think of the fans! Gosh! The times I used to stand on the terraces at The Lane unable to feel my feet because it was so cold.......
The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews will announce this evening whether they will allow women to become members. The 260 year old institution has sent ballot papers to its 2,400 members (all male, of course). Could they have woken up at last to the reality that it's 2014 and not 1864?

Golf was/is always a "class/ wealth" game .That's why,like tennis,we usually don't have great players from our country playing these games. Cricket used to be the same .Changed some now........and look how todays football players have changed from 20 quid a week to 200,000 quid a week. Tommy Lawton must be turning in his grave.He was always skint!
