So 2 wrongs make a right then? Just because we signed Danny Graham for £5m doesn't make Jelavic for 6+ a good deal - it makes both bad deals!! Hernandez you've seen once for Hull correct? If he goes the next 15 games and doesn't score will he still be a snip? I will reserve my judgement (although I do like what I have seen of Hernandez) until further into the season rather than having seen him once
Bruce has signed some rotten players over the years, for us as well as Hull. A machine gun transfer policy will always hit a few decent targets.
Rose tinted glasses Smug. Some just see what they want to see! You can guarantee Brucie will move on again before he's found out!
Op has pissed his nappy, and it needs changing, this thread is nothing more than a cry for help.. ****ing hell, spent 10m on ****ing Rodwell, now the club aint spending owt...pissy buckets by the bedside.
Jelavic's goals kept them in the league last year, that's hardly a wrong signing by Bruce. As for Hernandez, he's a proven international that is a great signing for hull no matter what way you look at it. This has gone off the subject a little bit, my point isn't about Bruce, it's about our club, with an average gate of 40,000, not spending what the supporters deserve. IMO
We are spending within their means, they aren't. You want short term gains and long term meltdown, or a club to be proud of for the rest of your life.
They have a mental case owner who is putting the club up for sale. Their 20,000 supporters are protesting and arguing amongst themselves. The manager is signing loads of players, on high wages & long contracts, who may or may not fit in the 'system' whatever that is. The debt, to the owner, this time last year was around £80 million on which he's charging interest. The club don't own their own ground and neither does the owner. Add all of those things together and you get ......... Portsmouth!!! Oops, sorry I meant Hull City who 'are far better than Sunderland'
He can't answer, he's gone to change his pissy pants..ffs. ****ing hell man, 4 ****ing games.... i ****ing despair at some ****s,,
Yep, it's a recipe for disaster, they might be okay, cos they do look a decent side and more than good enough to stay in the league, but if it goes wrong, it will go horrifically wrong. By all accounts their owner doesn't have as deep pockets as many to bail them out even if he does remain in charge. He's worth £317 million, and is 75 years old. There are many reasons to worry.
I havent read many replies but I'm sorry but this is utter hoss ****. I wouldn't have one of those in my team.
I'd be interested to know the rotten signings he's made for us? I can think of 1 permanent and 1 loan, the loan being from you, so I'd love to hear the others. We've had a really good transfer window, I think most would agree. We should be comfortably safe. I think you will be too, in Palace, Burnley, QPR, etc, I think there's much poorer sides than yourself out there. As for the fella who said he wouldn't want Robertson starting or Chester on your bench, I suspect you haven't seen either of them play much. Robertson has been superb & Chester will be our best defender soon, he's very naturally gifted.
Id say Snodgrass was the latest poor signing, too much money and I expect he'll be on a long expensive contract.
I agree actually, he's the slowest attacking midfielder I've ever seen. And if - a big if - we sign Ben Arfa outright then I can't see how Snodgrass or Ince will get a game. They'll be on big money and that's a worry...
Sadly we're still suffering to a degree, in the transfer market, because of the situation Bruce left behind. How Hull will be able to sustain the long expensive contracts, with gates half the size of ours, is a bit of a conundrum. Hopefully the owner isn't crazy enough to demand his money back. There aren't too many buyers, for clubs, as Villa are finding out and a prospective buyer for Hull would need to take on the debt as well as the wage bill. Villa own their own ground and, as such, are masters of their own destiny whereas Hull have to contend with the council and the demands of rugby. Unless you have a few 'secret millionaires' on Humberside it's hard to see where a buyer would spring from.
You've put yourselves in a position where if he has a good season you'll have competition from a lot of clubs around Europe, if he has a ****ter will you want to still sign him? Your best hope is to get a good season out of him, hope he enjoys playing under Bruce and wants to stay put. Technically he's probably one of the top 10 players in the league, yet no disrespect he's playing for you lot because nobody else wanted him... sums his entire career up.
The big problem is that once he signs a contract he seems to lose interest and looks for his next move.
He doesn't like defending, he won't track back and in this league, unless you're a ****ing goal machine you'll probably have to put a shift in. Having said that, he'd probably have won the Ballon D'or if it wasn't for ****ing Pardew!
