OT: Mafia game thread starts Sunday 8pm 14/9/14

So, those who haven't voted, who are you thinking of placing your votes with?

Who would you like to see as a front runner and who would you like to see put up against them?

 

Agree with most of that but must add Nozzer - been involved in a lot of voting exchange chat and trading with AFC and Bod

AFC and Bod must be suspected simply as there's still a strong possibility I'm a townie and they really have gone at me hard

What did we learn from the capture of the evil Lucaaas? Well the quiet ones fly under the radar all too easily.

Astro I agree has been unusually quiet however today his tactic of spreading the votes would seem to come back into play. Today is the key day and so having the possibility of the Don under pressure all day is surely vital. Interested to see the odds of us getting a mafia if we spread the bets between a number of different folks. What is the best way for us to keep the pressure on all four mafia and increase our chances of getting another hit? Killing who will tell us most?

 

Ok I'm going to vote for Astro for the simple reason that for now he has no votes. I have no particular reason to suspect him and will change my vote to keep it as balanced as possible unless someone has a better idea

 

Maybe future games shouldn't allow for a vote change. Each day played on a new thread. This means the game lord can close the old thread, count the votes and posts the results/story in the OP of the new thread. Using a new thread and one vote only means we could use the poll system too although I suspect people won't be keen on one vote as it could impact on the game; ie voting patterns etc.

Agree with pretty much all of that bar number 2 obviously

Keeping my vote to myself until nearer the deadline again. See if I can influence another **** storm

 

Bizarrely enough, that's the one I'm most sure on!

 

Given that all the evidence we have points to Bodanki being innocent (unless he was converted yesterday) and that generally together the decisions we have made or things we have called out, have been correct and in the benefit of the towns people. I think it's probably pretty safe to assume neither of us are mafia and are in fact doing our best to figure everything out.

Trying to shed some light on the danilo/milk situation would be helpful. Though I'm not sure how much evidence we have to support or reject his claims...

Would it be wise for the Doctor (Gerrez as we know it) doesn't say who he's going to save? Or maybe a bit of bluffing The only thing the mafia do know is he can't save himself so maybe we have to presume the hit will be on either him or the investigator? Or do we gamble and try and save one investigator or the other? Risky as we might save the wrong one but the rewards if we save the right one are large

Maybe we need to hear Danilo put his case forward first, Sky seemed genuine last night in fairness so atm I'd be inclined towards saving him (sorry D, you're info yesterday was top but you are a prime candidate for conversion).

 

Here is my updated position list; someone who was innocent is now mafia (but obviously not the don) so Gerrez and Sky have moved from innocent to slight doubts (no way the mafia would convert afcftw or Bodanki IMO)

Lucaaas was revealed as a non-don mafia, and danilo (I thought might be don) is now innocent or a converted non-don mafia

Milk was also named innocent by danilo right?

I consider innocent; Bodanki, astro, afcftw, Milk

not don if mafia; Nozzer, IBWT, danilo, Gerrez, Sky

don if mafia; Minxy, Billy

 

What makes you think I've not already done this

TBF, I have said I can't protect myself and that it would be risky for the Mafia to target one of / the other cop as I may have covered them. I've also said I realise that makes me a prime target and I'm happy to take one for the team too. I expect to be assassinated tonight.

I agree with that. My only slight worry is that so far, the mafia haven't really taken the obvious route - no action on night one, killing Hash (of all people) on night two. Maybe converting an investigator was too obivous? Then again, maybe not. We really need Danilo to show his face and play his hand, but he won't be on for a few hours yet, if at all.

 

As stated (again and again) last night as a townie I have to consider the possibility Bod was protected (he was at risk at the time so not unreasonable) so he's still a candidate even if an unlikely one You have made yourself a candidate with your relentless pursuit of me (an innocent) on what was at best, pretty flimsy evidence Do you disagree? I accept I'm a candidate (there are still reasons to distrust almost everyone) and as I have nothing direct against yourself or Bod I'm not going to pusue that at the moment.

Today we need to out-think them yet we have to do all our thinking out loud with the mafia watching, they can discuss their tactics over their spag bol so we need to be smarter.

 

Any reasoning for that? Danilo claimed that his investigation turned up that Milk was innocent, although there is the chance that the snitch was on him.

 

Sorry mate If I'd voted for Bod or AFC they'd have had a fit (have you read last nights character assasination? ). Made my reasoning quite clear too
