The anonymous SackPardew.com website claim that 200 banners and 15,000 display cards will be taken into St James' Park

A group of Newcastle United supporters are planning what could be one of English football’s biggest ever fan protests during Saturday’s Premier League match against Hull City.

The people behind the website SackPardew.com claim they have 200 anti-Alan Pardew banners and up to 15,000 A4-sized cards, which demand the manager lose his job.

And they will be taken into St James’ Park this weekend with or without the club’s permission.

They also have a protest van that will tour some of the area’s most famous landmarks, including the Angel of the North, before the match.

The anonymous group, who say they have raised £1000 through donations for the protest, contacted the Chronicle and spoke to us exclusively after using social media to drop hints about their plans, which they hope will oust Pardew from his job and bring change to the club at least in the short-term.

Such a blatant protest inside the stadium during a game will not be welcomed by every Newcastle fan and it remains to be seen whether this actually takes off the ground as the organisers hope. However, the group told us that they believed they enjoy the backing of most supporters.

They said: “We have 200 banners, similar in size to the ones you saw at Southampton on Saturday, that are currently being completed at printers around the city.

“They are small enough to conceal so we can get them into the stadium, but we don’t want to go down that road.

“We have contacted the club to let them know our plans and are still waiting to hear back from them.

“The Hatem Ben Arfa banner (who had him dressed as Che Guevara over the word ‘hope’) at the Crystal Palace match was ours.

“The club gave us permission as long as it wasn’t offensive and that we had a fire safety certificate, which we have for all 200 banners.

“We have also let the police and council know our plans. We want this to be peaceful and well-organised.”

The leaflets are a parody of Sports Direct’s logo that incorporates the SackPardew.com group. The organisers told us that they have many pubs in the city involved.

Fans who want to join in the protest will be able to collect a banner or the cards at these locations, which the group hope to announce over the next 48 hours.

The group said: “We are trying to do something different.

“A lot has happened under the Mike Ashley era, but we’ve always felt that whenever there was a protest, the personalities involved sidelined what it was about in the first place.

“We believe remaining anonymous will help us make more of an impact.”

No remaining anonymous will mean you don't have to accept the consequences should any of this end up in public disorder or violence, my personal viewpoint is that if you want to do this fine but put your name to it and accept the consequences. The situation is getting ramped up to the point where some fool will physically assault Pardew or his family.

    I agree.

Maybe I am just cynical, but there is something about this particular sackperdew.com campaign that I feel uneasy about. Just a gut feeling. But there is something not right about it.

I love it, it's proactive, non violent and represents the majority of the fans opinion given that most want Pardew gone.

If this protest goes ahead and is on the scale as described above the media coverage nationally will be huge. It's the most organised protest yet, unlike the walkouts, protest march etc so fair play to the people behind it.

I for one hope they achieve their goal.

This will do absolutely nothing. Great way to waste paper and effort. Ashley doesn't give a ****.

I've got no problem with the protest. I'll give Pardew and Co. as much visual and verbal **** as I can. If 45k people do it, sure Ashley has got to take note?

I'll still give the team my vocal encouragement though. <ok>

Ashley will take note when Pardew cannot achieve what he personally wants and that's safety. If we lose against Hull then that has to be it. In fact, if it's a disappointing draw it has to be it.

Best thing we can do is see a positive result perhaps coming regardless of the score. A win is a must for us now, we need the 3 pts. If we lose, it's Pardew out. Has to be.

    Ashley doesn't need us relegated.

If Saturday meant a defeat would see Pardew sacked, I'd welcome it with open arms.

Genuine question: if pardew was sacked, who do you think would come in? I presume the new gaffer wouldn't have a lot to spend in January

Hello mate. I wouldn't be too fussed who came in, as long as it wasn't curbishley or someone like that. And he should be able to have a few quid to spend, in real terms we've spent Nowt for a while.

I can't imagine Pardew motivating anyone, to be honest. I'd rather have sooty and sweep in charge.

Some might even argue that not much money needs spending on players anyhow - Pardew's tactics and playing players out of position etc is what is putting us in this prediciment - a new manager (a good one) will correct this and our players will begin to look like the players we know they can be!

This protest sounds ridiculous. The hype and amount of people getting on pardews back is over the top aswell.

its 3 games into the season with new players. Pards , the players and the club would have a much better chance of performing if people didnt create such a hostile feeling and accepted what and where we are.

Give pards a fair chance gents

What a load of s**te! We've got an appalling record this calendar year! His tactics are s**te, his substitutions are s**te, his motivation is s**te. Give him a fair chance ffs? Am I missing something from your post? <doh>

He's lost the fans, the dressing room and the plot. No way back.

Moyes would be a good shout if he was willing to work with Ashley, very good manager imo definitely an upgrade on pardew

He would be a good choice, but the bit in bold is the determining factor for anyone.

Getting rid of Pardew is one thing but I'm very wary of who would come in.

I would love it to be Moyes and think we are the right size club for him to come in to (can't see him getting a top 5-6 club which then means you're looking at a mid-table one with hopes of flirting with Euro qualification. Seems like an obvious match if - IF - he got assurances from Fat Mike to back him a little bit.

However we would probably Dave Bassett in with Ron Atkinson as his assistant "well we haven't seen any football for some time but we can name half the England team".
