http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/504042734?-11197 Surely not? Personally feel he's not required in the new set-up given the wages he'd inevitably require and that this is hardly the area we need further signings, BUT... raises an interesting point as to whether any club has ever re-signed their record signing on a free?
Could be an interesting one but what wages would he be asking for ? Would like to have him back as a squad player, but think he'd want too much
What role would he play? Curbs moved him gradually back to midfield, so I'm not sure if he would still class himself as a striker any more
I never rated the fella one bit the first time round so i for one would most definitely not welcome him back with open arms!!
Jason Euell, EUELL, always believe that you'll scooooore (to ''Gold'' by Spandeau Ballet). One of my favourite chants from down the years.
Gotta admit, Franco.. I was a big fan of Euell. Had a knack of being in the right place at the right time, scoring some vital goals. Do I think we should sign him though? No.
Fair do's Super... That's the beauty of football. We all watch the same players yet can so often see them completely differently.
I also really rated him, but it's clear that we're building a long-term team of hungry young players, and with the talent we've brought in over the past few weeks Euell just wouldn't get a look in. Good luck to him where ever he ends up.
at best he would have to accept a role of 3rd or 4th choice striker given the new signings so can't see it happening maybe he sees himself in a player/coach role
We need experience in our team (daily for example) "Not just on the playing side, as I know I can offer a lot off the pitch too, but with the side he’s trying to assemble with young players, I’m sure I could contribute to that as well." He would really add to our squad and he did a good job for doncaster in championship last year so i think he can cut it in league 1
Sorry guys, I can't view the video at the moment as I've been using the phone all week instead of the computer for internet, but does Euell mention us being interested/him being interested in joining us?
For 'we want our charlton back' http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/9114488.Former_Addicks_striker_up_for_Valley_return/
Cheers VFF Not sure what to make of that, smacks of desperation to me really, a bit similar to the article which they run with Moots. Neither of them have had any interest so both stated they would be happy to return to Charlton. As has already been said, Euell wouldn't find a place in our midfield now, but I wouldn't mind having him as a 3rd/4th choice striker with some sort of coaching role.
