Stamping your feet inside the ground with a painted on bedsheet...

I remember the sort of protests that occurred back in the '70's & '80's whenever Sunderland or Newcastle were playing ****e. People stopped wasting their money by going to watch. Crowds of 12 or 13 thousand were common IIRC.

Nowadays there's 40 or 50 thousand all shell out a small fortune to go and have a moan inside the ground whilst watching crap football. Why bother ?

I think this protest seems more organised than any other to be fair. If they do get the reported 200 banners inside the ground then fair play to them.

I also think that the people behind sackpardew.com are doing it for the right reasons, they've not revealed their idendity so aren't in it for the publicity etc. I for one think the pressure on Pardew is enormous and is bigger than it's ever been before. I have no problem with protesting as long as it's well organised and non violent.

The protest march, mock funeral etc were all small scale things that were never going to make an impact either on Pardew, Ashley or in the national press and therefore a complete waste of time. I'm not naive enough to think Ashley will remove Pardew based on this protest, but if every week MOTD are screeing this to millions of people then Pardew's reputation will be taking a battering and he may in the end think enough is enough and walk.

Ashley will only hand him his P45 if he thinks we're in danger of going down and not because the fans want him gone.

Well, you haven't actually spotted an unknown name that's made the grade since Tiote.

Actually, let's drop the talking as if you are Graham Carr bit, haha.

True though, not exactly Britains best talent spotter is he? Such a myth around the man.

    Cabaye, Tiote, Debuchy, Sissoko, Janmaat.

Five off he top of my head. Now you can say they were all well known etc, but they're all full internationals, we doubled our money on Debuchy and quadrupled on Cabaye. If Debuchy was that well known why didn't Wenger sign him for 6 million instead of letting him join us and then pay 12m for him?

Same for Cabaye, Carr did the research, talked to the right people and found out about his release clause. Again Wenger clearly liked him, so why not sign him for 4.3m instead of bidding 14m for him?

Sissoko and Tiote would go for at least double of what we paid for each of them, probably tipple (2.5m & 3.5).

Jury is out on De Jong and Cabella (admittedly he's started poorly) but we're only 4 games in. He works with peanuts and yet still finds players to keep us in the league. Also add to the fact that Pardew only has the players playing at say around 60% of their true potential and it only adds support to the fact that he does a good job.

This fella knows the score, I'd agree with almost all of that, apart from the last line.

I don't think Ashley knows what to do here, the investment was made in the summer and somehow Pardew's team looks even worse. Ashley got burnt off Keegan and it's gonna happen again here, he's desperate for Pardew to walk but that vermin knows he'll never get another job so he won't. There's no chance in hell that Ashley doesn't think you're a club in danger of going down already.
