OT: Mafia game thread starts Sunday 8pm 14/9/14

Problem is, we MUST get a Mafia tonight otherwise it could be 6:5 tomorrow which is basically game over.

 

I don't think we have enough people left to risk killing Bodanki if we are feeling he is innocent. It will help with figuring out those linked with Bodanki so that clears a couple of names but is that too little too late?

 

What's the theory? I voted bodanki first to stick to the 1 vote per player plan in the first round. 2nd round everyone said Magic was guilty due to the dons/his lack of activity so I voted for him. And at first in this round I voted for billy to tie the scores but then as milk pointed out there's a pattern of you defending bodanki and following his votes so I switched to bodanki.

 

I'm actually glad you did! I agree it makes things interesting- and if I'm completely wrong on the Bod triangle- and Billy ends up guilty it may convince Mafia to vote for Bod.

It doesn't mean AFC is innocent but supports his evidence a little. If Bod ends up innocent- AFC looks a little less guilty. Mafia probably wouldn't campaign hard to get an innocent exonerated- they'd probably stay quiet... UNLESS BOTH leading candidates were innocent- in which case, no harm to defend an innocent because it makes you look more innocent.

I agree- that looks innocent, unless both people he evens out are BOTH innocent... in which case it is just good Mafia tactics to make yourself look innocent. I think he evened out Bod and RHC night 1. RHC Is innocent. If Bod is guilty- then Nozzer is more likely innocent. If Bod ends up being innocent then we can make no conclusion reguarding Noz's innocence.

 

Rather than just saying he is innocent, why not provide a explanation? Why are you so convinced he is innocent? Especially after feeling so strongly that he was mafia at the start and then voting for him on day two (to clear your name blurrr)

I wondered about that... but that would count on someone picking up on that fact... which no one other than myself made that connection between no sense in Hash's death unless Sky guilty.

(unless just random hit on someone doctor unlikely to protect).

 

I'd like to know you explanation too! How is Bod so obviously innocent?

I think it was a good move by Mafia. Its completely threw everything in the air

 

It's just how he comes across to me and the fact he is repeatedly being made a target without too much to go on each time he is named. He doesn't seem guilty and his insistence that he knows I'm innocent due to knowing he is innocent and me not voting for him, wins me over.

 

Sorry- poor choice of words. What I meant to say it supports his innocence. Doesn't mean he is- but is a check in the "less suspicious" category...

 

I never said he was innocent. I've not claimed anyone is innocent or guilty. I want to know why others are so convinced about what they claim!

 

So in reality, you have no idea? Its just a hunch?

What if you ****ed up and he's been playing on it since?

 

If Sky ends up innocent it was a good double-bluff... or a lucky random pick... I know they'll claim it was a double bluff...

 

It's a hunch based on re- reading his comments and the way he has been made a target. He also gets votes from multiple people I'm suspicious of. I also think so far we have to go by what sky has said since no townie has said anything to suggest he isn't telling the truth which would mean in all likelihood Bodanki is innocent. It all stacks up and says towns person to me.

 

No matter which why I look at it, its a good move by the Mafia. Its also left most of us 50:50 on Sky's innocence too.

I'd like to think the other cop (assuming Sky is the first) did a check on Sky but suspect the snitch would have been eyeing him too.

 

You're defending him really strongly for someone you just have a gut feeling about. A good Townie-strategy if you're a townie would be to not just defend someone you have a gut feeling for if you think he's innocent (but have no evidence) - it would be to build a case- try to put forward a scenario of an alternate guilty party.


Don't be scared to be wrong- everyone gets things wrong- there is logic in this game- but there is a lot more guess work and random luck than logic... give us your best case for someone else. If you're a townie- don't worry about getting yourself lynched by putting your toe in the water- make a strong case for someone that you think might be guilty. It's not about the individual- it's about the town.

 

If you read my comment you'll see that on top of my gut feeling I'm looking at the evidence in front of us. And with no-one disputing him it seems sky is an investigator and Bodanki is in turn most likely innocent unless by chance he was snitched despite being the outside chance for death yesterday...

 

Judging by the number of his accusations and switches so far this game, he isn't!
