I had a full heart transplant to accommodate yet another struggling season and what happens - City have gone and found a bunch of no-hopers who seem to enjoy winning and don't appear to want to stop. So my message to this lacklustre bunch of ne'er-do-wells is KEEP IT UP LADS! Message to my medical team is that your not getting my new heart back.
Mike, your heart is a Bristol City heart and that's as good as it comes, you just keep on shouting mate, we all listen and enjoy....
Amazing how all this positive stuff rubs off isn't it wize? What a bloody wonderful feeling and it makes me feel 70 again - oh no I am 70!
I'm sure we all feel giddy with unbridled joy at the latest result. And another clean sheet to boot. Can't believe Sheff Utd were 2-0 down with 7 mins left and still won. Most other results went for us too. Keep it going boys you're doing us proud !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're doing incredibly well at the moment, but as I said I'll hold out to see how we do over the ten games. Our tenth game will be against MK Dons, a nothing club, but a strong team that could cause us problems. Obviously, being where we are at the moment is fantastic, but I want to see how we do against a team also pushing for the top of the table. If we can fend off MK Dons I think we'll be on our way towards at least the playoffs. Of course, the real test now will be seeing how Bristol City react to a loss, or several losses on the trot. If we can pick ourselves up after defeat I can't see why we can't push for automatic promotion, even to win the league. It's amazing to think that it's been at least four years since Bristol City has had anything to celebrate.
We all know the origins of MK Dons and many football fans were appalled when a club was moved to another town nearly one hundred miles from it's hometown. It is also a fact that new towns like Welwyn, Hatfield, Skelmersdale have not spawned successful football clubs, probably because those people who move to live there just continue supporting their original club. But MK Dons have a lot going for them. A new stadium of 32,000 capacity and a population large enough to easily support a Championship side or higher. Most City fans thought that our main rivals for promotion would be Sheff U, PNE and perhaps one from Barnsley, Doncaster, but MK are capable of being another club which will stay the course until next May. When they come to Ashton Gate, I obviously want us to beat them, but I suspect that a draw may well be a very acceptable alternative to City fans and more importantly, SC.
