Seriously, I thought this was a football forum. A place for a laugh, a bit of harmless banter and every now and again some serious discussion. Instead threads on every board are closed down at the slightest confrontation and members are no doubt crying off to the various mods about this or that being said. Are we all supposed to hold hands in a sign of unity? There has got to be 100 threads closed on this forum. Its certainly giving 606 a run for its money. I mean serious stuff like mocking the dead etc of course close it. A few fierce comments on a forum dont quite compare to the fans of old were football was but an after thought in a sea of violence. Our board isnt to bad, the mods are pretty sensible ( by that I mean swarbs as dave comes on once a week lol ) and dont close things that may be of offence to themselves. People complained none stop on 606 about moderation being way over the top and this place is fast following suit. If people dont like whats being said its quite simple. Dont look in that thread, dont interact with that poster and stop being a ****ing baby.

Harmless banter is fine but you always get a few idiots to take it too far an things degenerate into swearing and name calling and insults flying about like confetti at a wedding.

Maybe it is because some of us have mates and have banter all day and come on here somtimes not in the humour for pointless slagging matches. Banter is great, but can we all be trusted to keep it reasonable. The answer is ovbiously no. I agree and disagree with the OP. We have to have a bit of craic, but a lot of it is intended to piss people off not have a laugh and when they get pissed off they are moaners. Granted some of you are funny ****s, including the OP MUFKOK and others but the likes of eatcustart really only want to piss opposing fans off, which is the norm but defies the point the OP is making, it aint banter it is just pure wum from him and others, I meanm, ye are champions have beaten our record and were in 3 cl finals in 4 years, Liverpool supporters coming on here had better have a sense of humour The mods can be as bad as everyone else in kicking it off

I was banned from posting on the Arsenal board for simply daring to suggest that the Gooners might be losing not just Fab, but also Nasri and Clichy, and that this might well affect their ability to finish inside the top 4 next season. Of course, I was beset by Gooner WUMs, and they made certain that I was banned from their board. Now, it is perfectly apparent that AFC is going to lose not only Fab, but also Naris (to either City or United) and Clichy (probably to United). Q: Why was I banned? A: Gooners cannot handle the truth.

I hear you, brother! But, see, if you said that on the Gooner board, you'd be banned. Because they cannot stand banter, unless you agree with them that (a) Fab will leave AFC for only £40 million+, (b) Nasri won't go to United or City, and (c) Clichy is a crap defender (even though we all know that in a decent team he'd be top class).
