We got the result and the points, that's the main thing that matters for now. From the sounds of it, we need to work heavily on the performance though. Basel away in two weeks will be critical.

We were ****ing crap again today. Gerrard is absolutely dire, and has been in every game this season. We were very lucky to win, and they deserved more.

It's about time Rodgers woke up and realised Gerrard, while he may have rescued the game with the penalty, is a massive liability and was responsible for their goal.

Couldn't have written that. We did not deserve but 3 points is 3 points. I think had we lost or drawn that, which we could/should have, it could have totally destroed our morale so hopefully they build on this an improve. But BR needs to bollock all of them for that display. The only player to leave tonight with any credit is Moreno, he had a solid game. Everyone else needs bollocked.

 

Not really we'll smash Madrid home and away so a point against these in the away leg should be ok.

 

It looked very soft. The biggest issue is we look so slow and the off the ball running is non existent. Players are very stationary and playing in front of the opposition. Plus passing woeful. Hopefully it's just teething problems.

And mignolet doesn't seem to be improving his weaknesses tbh

 

Well 3 points is 3 points, but we were bad. Moeno played well and Sterling tried. Balotelli never came to life until Borini came on.

 

I know, just feels like a step backwards and thats sinking in. Last season was such an opportunity missed
