Sad really when u think of it, had a fantastic chance to push on after the the FA Cup and Community Shield, yet Wenger sat on his ass and didn't make the required improvements, and it's pretty much the same old story. Same old glaring problems remain, people are deluding themselves if they think we will properly challenge without a top DMF and striker.
Im not going to start calling for Wenger out but it's been clear for a while we've hit a ceiling with him. Unfortunately I fear we may do a Utd for a few seasons when he does go, and we won't be able to throw £200m at players
Btw all you spin jobbers have no excuses if we don't beat Villa, though I wouldn't be surprised to see the usual suspects saying OH WELL IT'S A GOOD POINT if we get a draw at Villa.
Nah United had a **** squad, we have a very good squad that's missing 3 players to complete the puzzle.
To do a United we need to have a world class manager leaving who goes on a high making a team of poor players overachieve and win big trophies. We have the opposite. An average manager who will probably go on a low underachieving with a team with a few real class players in. Completely opposite to 'doing a United', this team can't get much worse and is not being held together by anyone. All we need is to avoid a David Moyes and we should be fine given the quality of players we have. There is absolutely no evidence that AW is a quality manager anymore. TO persist with him given the lack of progress over the last few years is pure stubbornness.
