I reckon you could get Ben Mee alot cheaper then 2M. I think around 750K-1M would be more realistic

To tell you truth i dont think Nugent will sign now, Stringer has tried to back track what he said about Nugent being nailed on and this has dragged out, why hasnt he signed by now

I heard Nugent is still a Pompey player till the 1st of July, so maybe he wont be announced till tomorrow, i thought its odd they were talking about signings on the last day of the month, rather than the first day of the month.

Maybe £1m but with add ons for promotion and appearances which would probably mean £2m in 12 months time - Hopefully!

    MAYBE

We have offered Nugent less thn he is on at Portsmouth and he has decided to take all his wages there and then come to us as soon as he is free, so that he loses no money?

    Wouldn't put it past him.

Stringer has led us astray today...!

    It doesnt work like that

    For example

Neil Danns is still a Crystal Palace player and will be paid by Crystal palace up til today when his contract expires. From tommorow morning his contract at Palace will have ended and he will then become officially a Leicester player and will appear on our books.

I rate Ben Mee but not as a 2M player, 2M in future fees will be fine but not in one go

Matt Mills has one year left on his contract and Reading want 4M
Nicky Maynard has one year left on his contract and Bristol want 5M
DJ Crapbell had one year on his contract and was sold for 1.5M

Madness but i suppose you have to pay that kind of money to get the best players

I want us to sign now Nugent, Routledge, Maynard, CMS, Whittingham, Mills, Masielia, Mee and try and get a few loans

I'm still pretty confident Nugent will sign.

Danns did sign earlier but lets be honest we don't know all the ins-and-outs of every contract.

We've only ever heard that Nugent is a done deal apart from a couple of space fillers in the media who have claimed Prem Clubs are after him with no quotes or anything.

Very confident Mackail-Smith will sign now as well even if he doesn't signed tomorrow, which I wouldn't be surprised at.

Having big doubts about Maynard though - if we don't get him I'd like a similar type of player like Jay Bothroyd.

I might feel a lot better if we get Routledge and/or Whittingham though, both quality players.

Can't see Mills choosing us over Stoke.

Too right with your apologies. Twat.

    Better be right this time!

I hope Nugent does sign though, especially as I'm now feeling the Maynard deal is dead :(

Think Mills would choose us over Stoke, we play better football and are moving forward, think sven can persuade any player he wants, to come here.
and i believe Nugent his signing tomorrow with a.n. other good times are comming!

Anyone who signs for boring teams with no ambition like Stoke, Bolton and Wigan are whats killing football. They just go for the money and to see themself on match of the day. I would rather sign for a ambitious championship club then get to the prem and try and push on. Wigan just bore everyone to death and just stay up every season. Bolton arent as bad under Owen Coyle but still their have reached their potential and arent going to get better. And to play for Stoke you have to be over 6ft tall, be able to hoof the ball far or throw it far

True to an extent, but at the same time everyone wants to play in the Premiership. We might be in the Premiership next year and like I said, it's our job to convince him of that, but he'll know very well that it might not work out like that.

To be very honest with you if I was a neutral I'd choose Stoke simply because they are an established Premiership side. In some ways you could say he lacks ambition if he'd rather play in the Championship.

Stoke have denied interest apparently so this may be a moot point.
