One thing that I haven't seen mentioned on here as people are naturally focusing on our own team (and certain other issues): West Ham played very well indeed, definitely like a top 12 team. They were even better at Palace but then played terribly against Soton, so I guess they're still inconsistent, but I was impressed. Hard to see them being involved in a relegation scrap.

They are playing better away from home, because their fans get on Big Sam's and the teams back at home. Note the so call "silent majority" booing your own fans will lead the negativity on the pitch.

I think when the excellent additions gel better City will be one of the more attractive teams for neutrals too. As others have said the defence needs to get that solidity back. With just Dawson partnering him I think Davies has more work to do. Chester needs to play at Newcastle in a back three.
Those that booed the CTWD chant need to chant something positive, indeed, support the team!

There was one point in the match where Davies didn't go in quick enough to tackle before the ball went wider, and Dawson bollocked him. Davies head went down and he looked really unhappy. It seems that Dawson may be the boss and Davies isn't working well as an understudy.

Having said that, Dawson did well last night and Davies wasn't that bad.

Watched the game on the Internet (good stream). Not a neutral (City/Tiger till I die (lol), but thought looking at it from a neutral perspective that it was a cracking game. Full of excitement, a couple of terrific goals from the City debutantes with a likewise one from Valencia for West Ham. Heady stuff on a Monday night in the East Riding/Humberside (another bone of contention with many). Having spent a while trolling the blogs/newspapers seems that is the consensus from neutral and partisan fan alike. Many neutrals saying we will finish in the top ten, lets hope so. That in itself is a statement-when was it fashionable for neutrals to support Hull City/Tigers in the past? Much to look forward to.

Glad someone else mentioned this. Fair play to Fat Sam, good footballing side. Best game I've ever seen Downing have, Noble's always a good player he made them tick. Demel gave Robbo an arse kicking. I rate Tomkins and that Cresswell was excellent, stepped up from the Championship with ease.

I had to work, but when I found out we were on ESPN I swapped my shift, well it was worth it. First game I've seen this season, outside of MOTD, & the players look good. Abel H looks like the striker we've been after for years, a shot from nothing. I have to say that I was sitting there slating Jelly, but afterwards realised he was working his arse off with all the running he does, I still think he's just that bit too lazy to stick his head/foot in when it really matters as was proved with the potential fist in the head from the keeper. But overall I was very impressed, Quinn was my MOM & Robertson was 2nd. Diame was in & out too often, set off great but disappeared until he scored IMO. All credit to the lads though & the crowd sounded like they put in a shift too.
I think the reason the "big" players weren't really in it was probably due to Wet Spam playing better than I've seen for ages. Overall I think they were the better side & 2-2 was a fair result. Only problem is I don't like fair results, I just want us to win.
My one concern last night was McG, Waddle was saying he is probably the best shot stopper in the PL, I can't say whether that's true or not, but I know he is a great keeper, however, last night he was like a vampire with crosses & the second equaliser should have been stopped. I really don't know what was with him last night & I hope it's not something that will be repeated on a regular basis. Maybe the back 4 wasn't as much cover as he's been used to or he was unaware where the players should be. Hard to say on that one.
Didn't hear the boos & shame on them, seen as that's our new name, apparently. Not going down that road!

I agree and that was the best performance from West Spam I have seen in a while, so far the best team we have played this season.
