Two I like the look of tomorrow at Yarmouth
14.30 The superbly bred Music And Dance (Forecast 6/1) stopped in tracks when starting to make headway from the rear on début (25/1). Should improve on that and has R Moore up this time.

17.30 Khubala (13/2). 50/1 and out the back, beaten 8l, behind Tropics after 315 day lay off. Actually beat Tropics last year (with Steps 5½l and nk further back), giving both those 3lb. Not sure why winning jockey G Baker isn't on top again but W Buick takes the ride

Yes Ron, agree with you on both counts with Music and Dance. She's got a typical 'Stoute 2yo second time out' profile. And the owners Chevely Park must be very pleased to have got into this family.

I'd put her in an across the cards double with Beauty of the Sea in the first at Chepstow

Morning, troops. Not great racing today but there may be a rose amongst all those thorns ‘oooooooooooooop’ at old Thirsk. NEW TARABELA (4.45) is 0/8 thus far but looks to have leading claims in this 12 furlong maiden. The New Approach gelding has put up some decent performances in defeat most notably when just touched off by Galizzi (last ran off 90) over this trip, a decent 3 length runner-up to Alex My Boy (ran in Saturday’s Leger and perched on 105) and he also got within 2 lengths off recent York ‘Ebor’ Festival winner Vent Du Force who is now on 92.

I’d ignore his last run as New Tarabella didn’t get home over 2 miles whilst although he has been 2nd on 4 occasions I wouldn’t put this down to ungenuineness but rather the fact that he has bumped into some half decent animals. He will be greatly benefited by ‘King’ Kieren taking over steering duties today and to my eye 7/2 is a fair quote re his chances.

Meanwhile, that Ayr Gold Cup meeting on Saturday is going to be some party if the dear old Scots vote ‘yes’. What, what?!?

Good luck, pilgrims.

Cymro's 1¾l second to Baitha Alga looks strong form in that race Bustino; but the lay off could be a concern.

Skipping lunch today as I went to a "leaving do" this morning for breakfast and am still completely stuffed. Going for a stroll around "campus" instead, to enjoy the wonderful late-summer sunshine :)

Chicken salad. Quite reasonable. 8/10. Afterwards, I also had a gentle stroll around the periphery.

What the Germans would call a "Verdauungsspaziergang" Sir Barney <ok> (literally - a "digestion walk")

16 days into our Spring and it's already pushing 30c. After a feed, I prefer a good lie down. :)

Music and Dance would not have won but had the door shut on her when trying to mount a challenge and had to be snatched up. One more run like that and she could have a very handy handicap mark for a late season nursery over 7-8f. I've used this one to start My Timeform off

Sea The Moon retired - bad few days for connections. 10 days ago they had the Arc favourite, now he's retired. Tough old game sometimes.

Shutter Island looks a decent bet at 4s with the Champ up over at Listowel, appears he's gone over just for this

and to think they were being celebrated for not selling him 10 days ago. Cruel game. Hope he fully recovers and does well at stud.
