Tonight is a game you would expect a side chasing promotion to win, alongside another trip to Fleetwood on Saturday six points would set us up nicely for the home game against MK Dons next week. If we can get to that game with two wins, there should be a little bit of light between us and fourth to sixth spot. onward and upwards. no game is easy and we need to put a shift in every game, but this squad is very very capable.
There is definately an air of excitement and expectation building about the place at the moment. Been a long time coming though....the GJ promotion season being the last time I would say. Cast your mind back a few months to O'Drivell and his interviews and some of the dross we were served up then...dear god.
Port Vale aren't gonna just lay down and die for us tonight.! I hope the players don't treat this as simply as you have Red Robin..
Let's not get too carried away with ourselves. Every away game will be difficult and we need to scrap for every point we get.
Been here before only to shoot ourselves in the foot- My feelings are that SC wont allow this type of complacency to last. We do have a great chance to establish daylight early doors and remembering our promotion season at the end of the 90's, ourselves and Watford were practically up at Christmas. It also made me think the other day, that if we win our next 2 games, we will have pretty much as many points as we had by Christmas Last year!
Hear hear ! Players need mental strength as well as physical stamina. Under Cotts we certainly seem to be developing a team mentality (all for one and one for all) which we had for a while under GJ. I'd be happy with 4 points from these next 2 games and totally delighted with 6, but let's not get too carried away
no game is easy and we need to put a shift in every game, but this squad is very very capable. As i said above
Hahaha you got told off by Red Robin, Robbo But yes we know come October November time the witch hunt will be on
Wagstaff hasn't started and we 're top. Wouldn't surprise me if Einstein started the useless tw@ tonight.
Games we are expected to win are more mentally challenging than those we are tipped to lose. We need to remain focused on the prize and do a professional job.
Now bring on Fleetwood, results went our way tonight, three points saturday and posh and mk dons both lost tonight.
