OT: Mafia game thread starts Sunday 8pm 14/9/14

But voting for RHC would do that too.... And guarantee an innocent dies... Why would I vote for someone else and risk RHC not being killed if I was mafia? It makes no sense for me to be mafia and vote the way I did...

 

People assumed I had a role because of a technicality that as been explained over and over including support form the game host

Plus, having a role can mean you have more information; if you're a cop! What about the vigilante or doctor...? Neither can investigate!

 

But if you were the vigilante you wouldn't be saying you think sky is the vigilante...

 

It would, but then thats not the question. The point is you said you thought RHC was mafia and Bod was innocent. you switched your vote to sky which would have left RHC to die had Astro not changed too. However, if you truly believed what you claim then why not put your vote on RHC guaranteeing death? This was afterall your claimed intention!

Important that every death now (guilty or innocent) helps point us in the right direction:

Astro bothers me because AFC and bod are voting for him...

On one hand- his guilt would imply guilt for Bodanki and innocence for Gerrez. I would also have a little more suspicion for IBWT. Maybe AFCFTW through association with Bod.
on the other hand- Bod and AFC are currently voting for Astro... why- do they plan to change before nightfall? Doesn't make logical sense if in cahoots with Astro.
I explained above- I'd be surprised if IBWT were guilty if Astro was innocent... so innocence from Astro means innocence for IBWT. (see my explanation earlier).

So Astro's guilt tells us Gerrez's innocence and suggests IBWT is guilty.
Astro's innocence tells us IBWT's innocence.

I'm not sure what to make of Bod and AFC, dependes if they keep their votes on Astro or change... if they change it tells us less... if they keep them, would make me think the whole Bod/AFC/Astro triangle is a red herring.


Magic is the other lead candidate- his guilt actually doesn't tell us much- although his assumed role is Mafia Don. Would be huge boost to town to take out the Don.
Magic's innocence doesn't tell us too much though. We'd lose someone with a valuable role and it might cast suspicion on Lucaaas, myself and Gerrez a little (we're voting for him).



AFC's death would put suspicion on Bodanki if guilty.
If innocent, I'm not sure it would actually tell us anything useful.

 

I said I had assumed RHC was mafia but wasn't certain. Sky was suspicious and I wanted to drag him into the coin toss if at all possible. My attempts to rally support to the idea in the five minutes leading up to the deadline failed miserably.

Bodanki I felt was innocent so I made the decision to change my vote to save him as he was up against RHC who I thought had a higher chance of being guilty. I wasn't certain however so rather than finger RHC I voted for someone else I found suspicious.

 

Firstly I'm innocent and my death will be a waste of time.

Secondly I already changed my vote from Astro to sky. I've pointed this out a couple of times to make sure people don't think I'm being sneaky. And I've said I'll change back to Astro if he looks likely to be let off the hook.

Edit: this also makes it more likely I'll be in the coin toss

 

OK... so if Astro is guilty (and Bod is guilty)- then that would put possible suspicion on you again... although I'm beginning to doubt the Astro-AFC-Bod bemuda triangle to be honest. Not saying you're all innocent... but beginning to doubt it the three-way connection.


Completely theoretical (not making accusations) what do people think of possibility of:

Astro-Bod-Magic-AFC- (Maybe one of the above replaced by IBWT)

or

Gerrez-Sky-two others.... At least one who is being quiet (Maybe Nozzer because he kept balance between Bod and RHC knowing both innocent... not that I really suspect Nozzer- just trying to think who could fit in this scenario... Billy Can has been too innocent... he has to be guilty).


I think somewhere amongst the quiet ones... or the ones just voting once there is at least one Mafioso.

 

It's definitely not a three way connection, though I'm still unsure if Astros vote was designed to help Bodanki or not...

To be honest, there's no-one who I would say I definitely think is innocent. Maybe Hash, as I don't see a reason for Sky to have brought him to attention at that point if he wasn't.

I'm tending a bit towards Bodanki being at elast something mafia, and since I don't think anyone's voting for him yet, I'm tempted to switch to him to try and get that going. But I also don't want to move away from Astro yet.

Granted the last minute vote was very suspicious, but I had a rush of conscience leading up to the vote and in the last five minutes tried to make amends!

I'm not surprised to be in the running to die to be honest, it was a silly move given the timing left I should of just ignored my gut feeling and left Bodanki to the wolves. But I can assure you, 100% that I'm not mafia. I do not have a special role. I'm just a normal towns person.

Ok, so let's for a minute just assume I'm innocent.

Are there are any other groups of players who seem to be in cahoots other than the Astro-me-bod triangle?

 

If Astro is guilty it does lead suspicion to the bod Astro afc triangle with bod being the don. But I do think magic is the don. He's already got plenty of votes though.

Based on that table, going to change to astro just to even things up and I think if he's guilty we've pretty much got the other 2 in afc and bod.
Might be worth investigating one or two of those 3 who ever is investigator. Could really give us a clue if that 3 way has any legs...

 

I have a very weak connection between Sky and Gerrez which may be my imagination.
Also, IBWT has been the main defender of Astro- so I think their guilt/innocence is linked to each other- but not definitely.

 

Hmmmmm.... timing bad there!

 

afcftw: Moving to Astro could help show that you're not in cahoots...

 

Hash and IBTW I feel have a weak link between them but nothing substantial. And obviously if sky is guilty then hash is suspicious as sky claimed he was innocent.
