OT: Mafia game thread starts Sunday 8pm 14/9/14

The trick in determining if someone is giving deliberately bad "good advice" is to look for obvious logic errors, etc. For example in the last game MITO was defending you pretty hard despite the obviousness of your guilt - and threw into question Lucaaas's innocence despite there being at that point no logical reason for Lucaaas to fake coming out as detective if he wasn't.

If I'm guilty, and I'm posting so many points online you should be able to find obvious errors in my logic.

 

OK... I took a look back to Sky and Gerrez's comments... the link is weak at the moment. Gerrez said he thought Sky was the Vigilante (without any evidence or explanation why) - and Gerrez has been quick to correct peoples comments regarding Sky.

Both are very weak links considering Gerrez posts so much...

I think the other thing is that they were both my day one suspects.





One other comment... I'd be surprised if Sky and Magic were BOTH mafia. It would be a very surprising strategy if both of them outted themselves on day 2- especially since they weren't under immediate threat at the time.

 

Gerrez, Sky and IBWT are Mafia.

Why would Sky admit to having a role otherwise.
If he was innocent and admitted he has a role, he would expose himself to the mafia for a conversion or death.

I think I know the 4th mafia member but I aint saying yet, want to see what he does.

 

Oh... and recommendation to cops.

I'd investigate anyone being quiet. OR AFC (unless he is getting the vote). OR Sky (confirm he is the other cop)

 

And there seemed to be some confusion as to whether sky (with gerrez backup) was claiming to be the vigilante or the investigator...

Why are you calling Sky Mafia but not Magic then?
I suspect that if IBWT is Mafia that would make Astro Mafia too and if Astro is innocent then IBWT might be too... see explanation in my recap.

 

I think Astro afc and magic are mafia.

Also either Bodanki for fact Astro and afc dived on to save him or sky who is being suspicious.

I'm happy to change to any one of those 3 to make it a tie tonight if needed

You do realise that their intention will be to try pair at least one of them off with with an innocent group.

If so convinced about RHC being mafia, why did afc go for Sky and not guarantee RHC's death? If afc is mafia, he would have known RHC wasn't mafia too

I jumped on it immediately as he annoyed me, it looked liked he'd set me up after I went with his system. I'm not convinced he is innocent or mafia tbh.

There was meaning

Sky claimed to have a role. He suggested he knew who he was looking into tonight (Magic I believe) and that he knew Hash was innocent. I have not said he is definitely a cop or the vigilante, I have said his claims suggest he is one or the other and I believe it is the latter. Will will find out tonight. However, having typed that explanation, it as dawned on me that he wouldn't know/claim Hash is innocent unless he was a cop.

I never backed him up, I looked into it. There is a difference.

Magic claimed similar but he has no other option as he needs to save his arse! Sky wasn't under pressure to clear his name. Although he'd been mentioned, he had no votes. I have no idea whether sky is telling the truth or not, I was merely looking at what he'd claimed.

Why not vote for RHC when you switched...?

 

I think it's been a couple of pages since the last vote count but I think there are three votes on Magic and Astro. Two votes on me and AFC.

 

I wasn't convinced that RHC was 100% mafia and none of my explanations for my vote have included me saying that.

I was fairly confident given his actions that RHC was mafia but not totally sure. Sky I felt was very suspicious and tried a last minute attempt to get him into the mix as well.

Me voting for RHC would have guaranteed he died, which I didn't want to do as I wasn't certain. However by changing my vote RHC remained with a high possibility of going for the chop.

Had Astro not changed his vote then my vote would of killed RHC and highlighted my suspicion of Sky.

If I was mafia what reason could I possibly have for switching and implicating myself, but not switching to RHC who I would know was innocent and guarantee he dies?

 

For me the fact sky said he had a role and hash was innocent but then the direction it's taken seems to be that sky is the vigilante is suspicious... As if he was the vigilante he can't know hash is innocent.

And previously I thought gerrez had a role. If he did then surely he would have a much better idea of whether sky had a role and what it was? So does that mean gerrez actually doesn't have a role and we got that wrong. Or is there something being missed here?
