I haven't denied her negative effect on the north. Infact I haven't discussed her politics at all. If you go back and read my comments you'll see I went to great lengths to not bring any of her policies or actions into the discussion. I simply stated that I find it distasteful to ferociously attack a dead woman and take great pleasure from it. Which I stand by and isn't effected by any of the stuff being put forward in reply to me. My stance has zero to do with her policies and therefor requires zero research on my behalf. People's rage seems to be blinding them to what I'm actually saying.
Again if you actually read my comments rather than going off on one you'll see my comments don't come from some love for thatcher but rather a disdain for people disrespecting the dead. As far as my comment about her serving her country - whilst it is debatable who benefited from her stint in charge, her life was built around serving her country as an MP and PM. Who this was good for in the country makes absolutely no difference. Anyone who takes up the role of PM in my opinion deserves a basic level of respect, particularly if they are dead. I don't think that's an outrageous viewpoint to have.
