Some absolutely appalling comments from some of you Liverpools supporters re The Lady Margaret. Hang your heads in shame. I was so shocked by some of the sentiments on here that I've had to spend the last 30 minutes led down in the sick bay. You have disgraced yourselves.
You come on this board trying to paint Thatcher in a good light which means you are either: a) Trolling or b) Didn't expect the reaction you got. If it is the latter, then perhaps you should as Tobes suggested go and educate yourself as to why you got this response. Thatcher did not serve her country, she was entirely self-serving and served her cronies and those of her ilk. If she served her country so well, why is it a large, non-insignificant number of the population despise her so?
Is this one of those moments where someone uses age to try and discredit someone's opinion. Happens a lot on these forums, usually in the mould of "you don't remember what it was like in my day, grrr" I'm 25. How that changes it being distasteful to attack a dead woman is beyond me.
I haven't tried to paint her in a good light... I've just suggested a very basic level of respect for other humans, in particular those who spend there lives in public service is worth extending to her.

Typical response I expected. Nice easy way out for you there. Obviously being 25 I wasn't around to experience the thatcher years. Funnily enough I do have family that are older than me and spread out across the uk. I also lived in Stoke for a while (if there was ever a place that never began to recover from the thatcher years it's stoke) and take a keen interest in politics. Thatcher is an interesting case as she divides opinion so radically. I wasn't alive in the 1940s either but I know all about the nazis and how bad they were... Trying to use age to win an argument is stupid.
So much so, you chose to use the name as an insult on a football forum not 20 minutes ago........I doubt if you lived through those times you'd have the same perspective as merely reading a book. Go away and educate yourself little man as you patently don't understand the depth of feeling, so therefore you can't understand the full extent of what caused it. As we're not irrational or hate filled people, far from it.
afcftw, sorry mate need to ask, but you was on the other day supposedly not defending thatcher then either, you know how we feel on this subject, so why are you feeling the need to comment to everything we say about her? we don't or have never liked her, and that's it. like you said opinion, and we are entitled to ours as well.
Oh and you can stop all the condescending "little man" and "educate yourself" nonsense. People are allowed to have a different opinion to you. I'm perfectly capable of understanding the feeling towards her and still disagree with insulting dead people.
When was I on the other day discussing thatcher? (I may have posted a comment but I don't remember having a thatcher discussion on here anytime recently). And I completely get why so many people hold the opinion you do. I still think it's wrong to ferociously attack a dead woman with such happiness.
Also, I haven't merely read a book on ww2 lol. I've visited aushwitz, spoken with inmates of the camps, read multiple books, visited several Churchill sites, spent time in Berlin and discussed it at great length with relatives who were alive at the time. My nazi comment aimed at you was a little tongue in cheek due to your insistence that your opinion was the only valid one and if I didn't like it I should **** off. Don't assume to know where someone gets there information on something or that you are so much better educated on the subject.
