Remember the media was nice to us last year...that's it for a decade now. Someone on Twitter pointed out that ManU smashed QPR 4-0 whereas Saints apparently only overcome a woeful Newcastle team 4-0...spot the difference.
Tbh I think its better that we stay under the radar. More chance of being under-estimated and no pressure on the players.
Yes I can. ManU beat a team up from the Championship who are completely out of their depth so far, and we beat a team of quality who are completely out of confidence. Other than that, it's all similarities. ManU had a clear-out and brought players in to replace them. So did we. Shortly after Saints won on Saturday, the BBC Football sub-headline was: Saints thrash Newcastle, so somebody remembered. Chelsea were the headline subject, if you were wondering.
That's the same debate we had last season, about this time. Some of us wanted recognition, some of us wanted it all hush-hush. In the end we got more recognition than we bargained for, so you may have a point, Lamb.
Completely different. We are labelled as a team who had our best players taken away from us. Man U are simply clearing out the rubbish. Lets stay under the radar. We'll be top at Christmas and they won't even notice.
If we are 10 points clear at the top with 3 games left one or two of them might give us an outside chance of avoiding relegation.
Didn't you get the memo..? Some media were saying we had a fire sale [that's not an exodus, btw], or some such thing. Meaning, we intentionally cashed in our ambition. It's coming as a shock to several that we merely got the players out who didn't want to play and got in new ones that did. Good business and ambition intact. Perhaps even heightened.
Yep. Tough love for the laddie from his Captain, after he was getting a little too affectionate with the Frenchman. I thought he took the blow well.
