It's the first time the silent majority have shown their faces, and they were grey and wrinkly.

For what it's worth, I actually think Hull City is dying. I think in most other cities this kind of cringeworthy idea would have been stamped out, but here in Hull we have an overwhelming amount of apathetic simpletons with no concept of anything but the present moment and meal times.

I don't think there's enough people with enough guts and drive to stop this. The easy option is starting to win.

I don't see this healing.

Sounds like CTWD don't like it up 'em.

It might seem that way, but not the way it is. Allam's game of divide and conquer.

this sums up the **** fans we have

what fans boo a song thats been sung for ****ing years, pathetic ****s dont make a sound all game,
go **** yourselves

We all know they were booing the CTWD sentiment. Deal with the facts, it's easier.

Exactly.

CTWD have had their say for long enough and the arrogance and cockiness of some of the CTWD dwelling bastards on here do my head in.

Some of the comments from them tonight just shows what they truly are "self opinionated c*nts". It is why most of them are the same members always to get into arguments on this board and start abusing people because they have a different view.

At the end of the day, CTWD is against and some aren't, end of story. A majority of the Hull fans want to see the success continue.

No name change = Struggling? Uncertain future?
Name change = Further investment, better team, success on and off the pitch and umm let me think... MORE REVENUE AND INVESTMENT GENERATED FOR THE CITY!

At the moment our football club is the only thing putting us on the map, because lets be honest, our rugby teams are sh*te.

Why does everyone who wants/doesn't care about the name change associate with the team/club struggling. Have the balls to stand up man.

I went to Shrewsbury in the 00/01 season when it was billed as "Hull City's last game." We now have people who boo the hardcore fans who some of which will have been at the game! Standing at Gay Meadow (stupid f**ing name for a ground) whilst it pissed it down watching Kevin Francis and Johnny Eyre fire goals in for City (if I remember right), struggling to see because I was even more of a short arse back then at the age of 8!

Just... fuming at people who "spectate" at the KC Stadium.

Only 21,000 there again tonight..

I was in the East stand, people were booing in the East Stand... Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't our gates between 18-21,000 in the championship? So in reality, a lot of people who were watching city in the championship must have decided not to go or buy a pass and the so-called "spectators" bought them. Or is it maybe most of them still go to the premier league games??

Are you sure about the "temporary?" I understand your point, but if this goes through - I think Hull Tigers will unfortunately be here to stay.
Can argue that CTWD only see one way - but could that not be said about Dr. Allam too? Doesn't seem to be willing to expand the team as "Hull City A.F.C," it's just about Hull Tigers.

Don't get me wrong - I never thought I'd see the day where we spent £10million on an international striker, but we did do that under the "Hull City A.F.C." name. Our Premier League status, terrific manager, great local support and good football gets us players - not a "brand." The Hull City A.F.C brand is doing quite well for itself at the moment!

Allam is a stubborn man. For him it's `his way or the motorway'. There is no choice.

You have to understand that the argument isn't about whether we want the name, it's about whether we want Allam's investment and the opportunities it brings.

I vote for the money, because I know any owner following Allam will immediately want to endear himself to the fans by changing the name back. So we get the investment now and the fans will get the name they want later.

Get smart - don't be suckers all your lives!

I'm a bell end because I have my own views?

This is the problem with this forum, too many f*cking hot heads who think they're Charles Bronson and go all gung-ho on someone because they don't agree with them. Some of you guys go on about me but I'm not the one that's abusive, I'm consistent with my views, what is wrong with that?

You're still a bell end. You were banned for being a twat (which you've accepted) & creating multiple accounts. You continue to do so.

No one booed the Hull City name. What they booed was the "City til I die" chant which was a Hull City song misappropriated by a small pressure group who are pursuing their own agenda.

Own agenda? Do us a favour and develop a brain.

No reasonable argument so you resort to personal abuse. This is why people are turning against Ctwd. You harm your own cause.

Personal abuse? The point of your 'own agenda' was that it's Assem Allam's 'own agenda', not that of CTWD.

All we are doing is defending.

Generally I don't come on this forum any more because I get too wound up by the 'he can do what he wants if we get Premiership football' brigade but I just wanted to register my disgust at the booing at 19:04 today. Divide and conquer as they say, in fighting between the fans will do just as much damage as the stupid suggestion of changing our name in the first place. I can't put into words how disappointed I am that our most successful period in our history occurs at a time when I am completely disillusioned with the club. No doubt this will get lost amongst the 'you're a **** for booing' 'no you're a **** for singing CTID' posts but at least I've got it off my chest.

I understand your point, but if the Dr. Allam gets what he wants - it'll then pass to Ehab wants exactly the same and so on and so forth.

It'll always be Hull City A.F.C. to me - and that's where I end it tonight because I'm too tired to care any more. All everyone on here is going to do is bicker, when we should be celebrating a pretty decent display by the team. I think both sides need to bang heads together and come up with a common solution. Hull City A.F.C at the moment is one hell of a successful brand.

You're still a bell end. You were banned for being a t**t (which you've accepted) & creating multiple accounts. You continue to do so.

I was banned for a moment of madness because a certain Mr Twat, sorry Mr Hat* made a thread, part of it was about me. So I defended myself. I cleared it up with Macca and despite him being a tw*t at times which he has admitted and I fully admit that I can be a twat too and both of us was taking it to far..

At the end of the day, there is a lot of tw*ts on here, it's why the forum is becoming ****ty by the day because people can't discuss or debate sensibly and reasonably, if they cannot get their point across or have a valid response with an argument they just resort to name calling and slagging people off!

So the silent 'majority' finally break their silence and it's to boo and be negative. They were invited to start their own song but were incapable of showing any positivity to their stance, (it could have been 'We say yes Allam' or 'Tigers till we die' for example). But this was from the lot who spend most of their time at matches in utter silence and only break that to whinge about individual performances. The ones who'll piss off the instant we're relegated from the Premier League regardless of whether we're known as City or Tigers.
