    I'm not really genned up on Irish stuff but were the Scots not there before the famine?

    There was a famine in Scotland. We just don't harp on about it as if it happened only yesterday blaming that on every ill that's ever befallen us ever since. We got over it. Time yoos did the same.

    The Scots were an Irish tribe who settled on the west coast of what is now known as Scotland. Some of them just went home.
