If someone offers £1billion it's obviously worth £1billion to them. It's not as if ENIC and Levy are going to say "that's far too much. You can have it for half that"

  3. I do hope we are not bought out by either Chinese or Indians. They're both cheap-skates, and always looking to appoint their families to important positions, whether or not that's in the best interests of the club - an it never is.

I'd rather we had Yanky buyers than Chinese or Indian - and they'd be bad enough!

Nah, Russian or Arab, for me.

The folklore is that Uncle Joe would consider an offer no less than 500m.
Which is still a good profit on a 300m odd basic valuation of THFCs current assets.

    Tell me I'm wrong, though.

  7. All joking aside, this is an ideal time for our ENIC to sell, with the cost of the stadium to fund.

The new owners coming in will be able to find all kinds of creative ways to use the colossal cost thereof to build a Chav/£ity-style squad very quickly and not fall foul of FFP rules.

What we don't want is for some cheap-skate Glazier types to come in and use all the tax losses on the stadium to fund their other businesses.

Your not worth anywhere near a billion. Not even close. The sqaud may have cost that much but is it worth it. The answer is probably not.

As for property values. Is whl being turned into flats? Of so then fair enough.

3-400million. At best. Bayern are worth 800million, barcelona 1.2. Liverpool are worth maybe 650million.

All are far more valuable clubs than spurs.

"Suppose that means united are worth 40billion."

The day Fergie won his final PL, maybe.
The day you failed to qualify for the 2014-15 CL, quite a bit less methinks.

Forbes says 359million gbp as the value for spurs. Thats about right.

You guys should be wary of a Chinese buyer. They will have whl standing as 200 empty flats in no time.

There's two things that seem dodgy with the address given on the Cain Hoy website:
    i.) It's the address of a hospital
ii.) Several real estate websites say that suite 400 is still available for lease

I assumed that it was supposed to be a parody, especially as it was followed up with an "all joking aside" comment.
More xenophobic than racist though, if it was supposed to be serious.

I thought that at first, but then I noticed that you'd disliked his comment! <laugh>
I've found that it's always best to check these things, as I've misunderstood one or two of these posts in the past and not realised that someone's genuinely pissed off.
