Pure speculation I know but there is definitely something happening. Unless as some cynic has said he wants to up his wages at Real.

First, is he worth having still i.e is he in decline?

Second, if he was indeed available, would/should United go for him?

Third: at todays rate how much would the transfer fee be? Are United the ONLY team that could afford him under FFP ?

Less than we can afford but around double what everyone else can afford.

I read somewhere a sum of around £120m. At this price, the GGs should snap him up immediately. He would be a bargain with United recouping all the investment easily with increased shirt sales and increased sponsorship deals...

How old is he? If he can adapt his game like Giggsy then why not. I wouldn't pay more than 30 million though. I've also read today that he wants 500,000 a week <yikes>

The transfer fee bandied about is 60 mill, which is downright cheap, but paper talk maybe? Wages of 500,00 per week? paper talk again.

Would he be worth having, in my opinion yes. Plenty of global sales in CR7 alone to cover costs. The overall deal even at the 60 mill would rule out Chelsea, City and the dippers. So that leaves United, Arsenal and Spurs. 60 mill would leave both Wenger and Levy reaching out for heart and blood pressure pills, let alone the wages.
So its probably down to United & PSG.

If he does leave Real, he'll come to United if United will have him. He has said how much he loved the place quite a few times in the last few weeks. An additional incentive will be to be reunited with Di Maria.

An attacking force with Ronaldo, Di Maria, Rooney, RVP and Falcao. True Gaalacticos and United will be the new Real !!!

If Falcao is signed on a permanent deal I doubt RVP will be with United next season.

You've had four pretty much in the time we've had 1 Swarbs. You're also spending a fortune to catch up. United are the new Chelsea already ;)

Really really rate Ronaldo but 60 million plus silly wages for a 30 year old? Seems high.

Based on the facts that FFP rules you out of buying him

Moyes and LVG with Giggs as a caretaker for a few weeks. Two managers, in other words.

You forget that Mourinho didn't publicly agree to join Chelsea until Moyes had already been appointed as Utd manager. Read into that what you will <ok>

No worse than £50 million plus silly wages for a 27 year old Torres imo. Ronaldo has always been fitter than Torres, and probably has much more of a career ahead of him.

With a player as good as CR even a decline probably won't stop him being the best in the PL for the next few years.

Gullem Balague "He believes at Real Madrid he is doing a job. What he enjoyed as a kid, was at Manchester United. He (Ronaldo) dreams of going back to Manchester United. Manchester United have got all the finances in place to get him. When will that be depends on a lot of things. On Real Madrid, on Cristiano himself. I've got a pretty good idea when he wants to go. It won't be this month or next, but he WANTS to go back to Manchester United and everything is in place for him to return to Old Trafford."

Fck me, I have a great deal of respect for Ballague because his sources in Spain are topr drawer and what he says has never been unreliable. This is massive from Guillem.

Graham Hunter "Guillem's point is everything is set up for him at Manchester United and he wants to go to Manchester United, if he leaves for hunger, then I will respect him."
