Moyes did try and get Coentrao, the deal was done until Real Madrid at the last minute pulled the plug on it because they couldn't get a replacement in.
I agree with you, but then it's not like Rio is saying everything was Moyes' fault. And to be fair this is an extract of his autobiography, not a direct interview. He may well have accepted blame for his own poor performances on a different page, but the S*n decided that wasn't juicy enough to publish. He is an arrogant twat in general, but then much like you were pointing out with the Terry and Anton incident, I think you, Bod and others are judging him partly on that basis rather than just on the comments alone.
That has nothing to do with it!! You would find harsher comments about him from me even before that incident. I'm not so dense to judge him on the actions of his brother! If that were the case I'd be ****ed, since my brother is a Grade A Bell end. (and an Arsenal fan )
Rio is a great guy. Talks **** and uses the word merked but he comes across as a pretty normal guy. Not perfect but not so far up his own arse you want to stab him repeatedly or invent time travel and throw his ancestors off a cliff. Unlike tge captians of lets say.... Chelsea and liverpool. Two boring ****s who think they are gods gift.
What actions? His brother was the victim in the incident you allude to! Anyway, Rio should have retired after the 2012/13 season. His legs have completely gone.
Couldn't be further from the truth. I think Rio is a dickhead, simply because he is a dickhead. I have no issue with Anton, who has absolutely nothing to do with my opinion on Rio - nor does Terry.
Based on what though? Him speaking a little dim? Runs a youth centre doesnt he? And a soccer school. Doea a fair bit for under privileged kids from what i understand. Also speaks him own mind and isnt a robot like oh say, john terry, stevie me and co. I like kompany as well. Hes like rio. Says what he wants and has a personality.
Rio was a great servant to the club, winning six premiership medals, and one champions league. he had every right to stand up to Terry on the racism charge, which is why Chelsea have a downer on him. Shame really, especially when you compare Rio's medal haul to Terry's
Based on me just disliking him. He hasn't actually done anything that bothers me too much, I've just always thought he was a bit of a pleb since his Leeds days. Much in the same way I think Wilshere, Bellamy, Diouf etc etc are. Missing a drugs test doesn't exactly make you a shining star too. Not sure how Kompany 'speaks his own mind' either? He seems boring.
the victim? Anton: Did you just call me a black ****? John Terry: Eh? ****ing black ****?, you ****ing knob head! Thats EXACTLY what happened. No victim in that as far as I see.
How is a medal haul in anyway relevant?!!? Unless you're a glory hunter and you think literally everything comes down to that. Wouldn't be a surprise though given you have previous in confusing history with trophies won.
TBF I think you'll find most footballers are involved in some charity and community work. I'm sure it doesn't stop you hating on rival players.
Drogba was a **** of a player but a great guy. Scholes was a great player but seems a bit of a ****. Gerrard and terry are grade A premium uttercunts
No, not what I meant at all. When people were calling Terry a racist for his part in the Anton incident, you were pointing out that people were jumping to conclusions about Terry based on his past behaviour and the fact that he is widely seen as a twat. I'm pointing out that it seems you are doing the same with Rio and jumping to conclusions about his intentions when making these comments in his book.
Yep, and I'm saying that's wrong. Only commented on here because Shergar brought something unrelated into it. I disagree with Rio spouting this stuff about Moyes just as I would any other player slagging off a former manager.
