Under the East Stand, midway between the half way line and the Milton.

Lower West Stand, near the dugouts.

Don't remember the goal. I may have been planning my flirting tactics for my sister's friends later on.

Yes it was......He was the person who introduced me to Saints at the age of 5...in the days when I used to have to go to Pompey one week with my granddad and my other uncle and to Saints the next with my favourite uncle. No guesses for which team I preferred to support.

I was in Chicago that day - was on the phone to my brother who told me it was currently 5-3, but I assumed that was to United. Then 6-3, but to us....I made a funny noise.

My son couldn't believe it, so he asked another passing Brit with a newspaper. My son said it must be a joke....so I suggested that the odds were very long that 2 people would invent a ridiculous score like Saints winning 6-3 against United. He was a ManU fan at the time, but he has since seen the error of his ways.

Remember being right behind it in the Milton... and I mean right behind the line it travelled.... had troubles celebrating as I kept tripping over my jaw!

One I always remember is in September 1967 when I was on holiday in Cornwall with my parents and my dad turned the radio on at 5:00 pm for Sports Report, to be greeted with the words "After Southampton's 5th goal against Chelsea..." The final score was Chelsea 2 Southampton 6, with Big Ron getting 4 and Chivers the other 2. Peter Osgood got both Chelsea's. Happy days.

The last match my dad ever went to was the Arsenal game where Henry got his first goal for the Gunners. It was also the day of my engagement party. Not exactly a day that anyone remembers too fondly :)
