Harold played for us in the late 40's and fifties on the wing over 200 times.He was signed after he played against us for Newport in the cup for a very large sum in those days £12000' After his playing career he settled in Leeds and was the landlord where I met him a few times at the Griffen in Guildersome .He was very friendly with John Charles who he was in awe of like me he thought he was the greatest .Always welcoming and modest with it will be sadly missed by his wife Ada and family .He was 90 years old and it makes me feel old as I remember him playing!
