Yes I agree, cut it up, sell it off and have compulsory medical insurance, that way a hell of a lot of abuse would be stopped.

No Dev, I don't think 50% of Scots hate the English, I think that deep down all of you do but are too scared to admit it. No, I've visited Scotland many times and had no bad experiences, I've just looked and listened. The Corries had an album out recording one of their shows and they introduced a song about a young Scottish criminal caught and shot by the English. "But don't worry, he took 6 Englishmen with him." Loud cheers followed so don't say to me you don't hate the English. Also on a different theme I saw the Hastings brothers crying uncontrollably after England had a one point win at Murrayfield with the last kick of the match which was a penalty. This is what England means to you, you're all obsessed with us. You all support two trams, Scotland and whoever is playing England because deep down you all want England to lose at everything. It's imbalanced your minds and you don't know it.
Also Dev this lassie hates Salmond considering him a "Nasty old arsehole."

Are they biased or is the truth being told and considered as bias? Salmond was quick to add "Don't get me wrong, I like these people." Wow, that's defensive and total bollocks, he hates them. Take to the streets? Clear the building out and put their people in? Then they will be biased won't they? Ooh I love this. Tell you what though, if the no vote wins then the yes voters will hate England even more than they do now.

How silly of me not realise that, having used the word 'vote' four times, you meant 'vote' when you wrote 'say'. I assume that is OK for me to offer opinions then.

If you need my permission to give your opinion maybe your opinion is not worth giving.

You are starting to sound hysterical! My daughter has 2 friends in Edinburgh and visits often. Always has a good reception and the locals are, apparently, very welcoming. Not much evidence? Well nor is a joke from a live band recording and the fact that players were upset that they lost a close match - I assume the reaction would have been the same if it was Ireland/Wales or France?

Could not agree less with your first sentence. Medical help depending on ability to pay. This time I vote No.

Admittedly you could be joking and I am just not getting it?

I agree. Your health and longevity should never be made subject to your ability to pay. The problem with the NHS is gross inefficiency and prolifigacy. Yes, there should be tighter controls on "health tourism", etc. The health service works very well here, in a country not renowned normally for it's efficiency.

Your health and longevity should be your own responsibility and not the responsibility of the government. You buy a car and you are responsible for its maintenance and legal fees. You have children and you are responsible for their health and safety. You have a job and you are responsible for the duty of that job, good time keeping and professional standards etc. You are responsible for buying your own clothes etc. If you want a camera you go out and buy it and so it should be with your own health. Many countries have compulsory private medical insurance and it works. I pay just under £400 per month to BUPA because I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MY OWN HEALTH. WE have all become accustomed to having everything handed to us on a plate at the taxpayers expense.

if you have kids YOU LOOK AFTER THEM NOT THE TAXPAYER or don't have them. You look after your own house and not get benefits if you are working. It's become too bloody soft in Britain and yes, disband the NHS and introduce medical insurance, it works well and then people won't abuse the system. I pay my dental bills because MY TEETH ARE MY RESPONSIBILITY and nobody else's.

TMT you need to moderate your comments before I have to.

Banter is fine but you have gone way beyond that, please cease this rubbish.

I am referring to your anti Scot/English nonsense.

Spurf in the 1970's the Scots voted for "Autonomy from England." My comments are not nonsense, just hidden truth coming out. But if you want to edit, go right ahead.

You have just talked about personal responsibilty for all things in life RIGHT! Take some for your personal views and remember that some people will find your remarks offensive.

If I was here to edit views I did not like you would be gone.

Then ban me if you like, there are other sites. I'm not bothered at all what you think of me spurf. Also if others find my remarks offensive they can damned well answer for themselves can't they?

Thank you Dev, at least you're reading them. I once loaned somebody some money which he gave me his word he'd pay me back. I told his mother that he wouldn't but she repeated time and time again that he would to which I disagreed.. When the time came to pay me back he didn't. His mother was angry with him and couldn't understand his behaviour. I knew the son better than his mother did which takes me back to your comment about my knowing scots better than the Scots girl on facebook. When you're on the outside looking in yes you do know the people better than those who are inside so your thinking also is laughably ignorant.

TMT - we hear your views, I don't agree with them, but so what. Don't back yourself into a corner and end up leaving the site, we want all views here so that debates are interesting. You seem to be getting too angry about this, please just accept that you have made your point and just leave it at that. <ok>

Great for you that you can afford £400 per month for private health care. For many people, that's more than they have to feed their family! I'm no raving socialist, but some things must remain under Gvt control. Having lived in the states for 4 yrs, I have seen the results of what happens to you when you can't afford to pay!

I won't be backing myself into a corner if I leave the site, independence for The Mighty Thor. The mods can feel free to ban me I repeat. There are other sites. Besides how does anybody know when they post something whether others will find the remarks offensive or not?
