Hopefully we won't see the 352 system again!

Is anyone else hoping that we have seen the back of the ridiculous 352 formation, which seen us get 2 points from our opening 3 easy on paper fixtures. The system is a dumb system that doesn't work in the Premier League, as for years and years our players have always learnt to play with a back 4. LVG needs to realise this and never use that daft formation ever again.

Today when we reverted back to a back 4 we looked a far better side, and looked as good as we have in a long time. I know it was only QPR, but it was only Swansea, Sunderland and Burnley before, and we couldn't beat them. So it just goes to show how much better our players play when there playing a decent formation.

I remember Mancini trying to use that system with City, and it ended up costing them alot of points. LVG has already cost us 7 points by using that system, so let's pray that after today's performance he will finally come to his senses and realise to win games in the PL you need to play with a back 4!

LVG may have stumbled on our best formation. All our old players have always played 442 but then many of the key players we have now are more sophisticated and could adapt.

TBF I had seen some improvement at Burnley in the team with the 352 although lots of fans here couldn't.

The lack of chances created in the game against Burnley was what was most frustrating. I just don't think the system is good for an attack minded team, as you've got 3 central defenders sat at the back all game. Atleast when we play with a back 4 we have attack minded full backs, so there are only 2 players sat back defending, and not joining in on attacks.

So basically when we play the 352 all our attacks are a man down on what they should be. Yes the 352 probably makes us more solid defensively, but with the attacking players we have now we should be looking to play to our strengths and go on the attack in every game regardless of the opposition. We have Rooney, Falcao, RVP, Mata and Di Maria. No other team in the league has that many quality attacking players, so we need to play an attack minded system to get the best out of them

Yeh agree with this completely. Four at the back and now we have a couple of decent options to act as sweeper in midfield when our full-backs do get forward.

We need to give LVG credit for his previous management skills. Pretty sure he will not be predictable, and will change the formation depending on who we are playing. Today was the first steps of recovery, lets hope it progresses, as with the signings we have, it should do
