Hodgson said some youngsters in the senior team will be made available for the U21s tournament. Have always thought that we should put out a strong side and stand a chance of winning an underage tournament. Will do wonders for confidence. And we should come down hard on any team that thinks it can block a youngster from playing for the U21s.
Get your point Fran, but surely that's a case for traffic lights before entering the roundabout, not ON it? Also, your correct lane argument is fine IF you know in advance where you need to be. Strangers to road systems need to be able to change lanes on roundabouts in order to correct their positioning.
The lights that I mentioned are before the roundabout, so I misunderstood that. I got caught out when I came up against a red traffic light on a Portsmouth roundabout...never seen such a thing before. Luckily they had just changed, so I got through them safely.
Here we have the old problem of hardly anyone caring about the national team. We've all been moaning, during the international break, about the pause in the Premier League, and yet we're supposed to care about youngsters getting breaks into becoming internationals at whatever age. While the FA runs their processes on a basis where they suck up to rich clubs and blowed everyone else, then I'm not particularly interested. I can't begin to feign real interest in the national side, even at underage levels, unless I have some Saints connection, and then really only in the particular Saints player. Hey, perhaps we'll all get a big dose of national identity if Scotland votes to break the tow.
Yes, but it's the big clubs who try to block the release of players. No team of our level tries to stand between a youngster and international recognition...in fact we bask in it.
Hmm, and then our players want to go and jump on the rich bandwagon. I'm still not very happy about the manner in which players disappeared over the summer. It pisses me right off that they got their international call ups [England mainly] or promises and then very quickly went out the door. Frankly, I'm very selfish about Southampton players who improve here, or are developed here. It doesn't really bother me anymore that we lost that bunch, since we seem to have got in equal or superior replacements, but it rankles badly in the manner they left. The seeds of those departures were placed when they went off to England. Well, balls to England, if that's the case.
Yeah, I saw that yesterday. Doesn't float my boat, but it's perfectly possible. I wonder if the idea was stolen from here..? please log in to view this image Remember this film..?
Yep, well done. I remembered them because I quite liked the concept of a community living in a gorge like that. I didn't quite like the way they had to get to their dwelling though. Down a rope ladder..!
I remember wanting to watch this film because of all the hype, and Samantha Mumba, enjoyable but underwhelming at the same time if that makes sense.
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. It was very nearly a very good film, but you left it feeling underwhelmed, as you say. This is definitely one of the great film sequences though:
