Agree with pretty much everything in this post, Rog! Twin peaks the series was fantastic, as was the Film Blue Velvet. Dune was okay, but, obviously, not a patch on the books. Mulholland Drive was really bad. I just don't see the appeal, but cinema buffs and media studies students consistently blow their load over it, for some reason. I've just watched Need for Speed. Not as bad as I'd thought it would be. Lovely looking cars, and the film wasn't bad either. Better than most of the Fast and Furious franchise, TBH. Plus it had Imogen Potts in!
Having a chilled out Sunday. No game this morning so been for a walk with family this morning and then watched a few episodes of Orange Is The New Black this afternoon
I just found it boring and the characters got annoying, think that should've left it at one season tbh as it seemed to run out of steam, glad you're enjoying it tho
Despite not agreeing, I know what you're getting at. The first season was new and shiny so there was something new in each episode. The second season as been more about learning the past of each of the remaining inmates.
That I found really, really ****ing annoying. Their use of flashbacks was lazy narrative wise and there were too many.
See I like that. Am I right in thinking you was one of the posters that said they didn't like Arrow too? I liked that because of the two story lines running at the same time. Having watched the next episode of OITNB since my last comment, I'm starting to think season two is better than the first.
Watched The Giver yesterday. Despite its innuendo-laden title, it wasn't bad. It's a sci-fi flick with Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep. Part Logan's Run, part 1984. Definitely worth a watch. I'd give it a 7/10.
